Description of Learning Curve Massaging Action Teether
This innovative star-shaped chewable teether gives off a massaging vibration every time your baby bites down on one of the star's points. Designed to soothe your baby's gums, the Massaging Action Teether is powered by a small long-life battery stored inside.In a relatively new concept in teething, The First Years introduces this massaging action teether. The concept is really quite simple: offer even the youngest infants a means to massage their gums at will. The massaging action increases circulation, thereby helping to alleviate swelling and discomfort. This soft, yellow, star-shaped teether has a smiling face and three nubby points that vibrate when a child bites down on them. The star sits upon an oversized blue plastic handle that's easy for even the youngest child to grasp. There's also an opening at the bottom of the handle that accepts a toy strap. When I first got this I was so excited because I thought for sure the vibration would help her sore gums. The first time she saw it she couldn't have been bothered. I had to hold her hands around it and guide it into her mouth. Then one day I hear this sound and saw that she got the hang of it! Now we're back to everything else being more interesting so we'll see. Bottom line: If you have the extra money to spend, it's a great idea. When they actually chomp on it you can tell it feels good on their gums.....but if you are frugal, there are many other things that the babies would like to chew on..mine is perfectly happy with her hands at the moment.
