Customer Review: Finally an end to achy nights and the beginning of peaceful sleeping!
Summary: 5 Stars

I, like every other pregnant woman who looks at this pillow and thinks,"Does it help that much?" took a chance and purchased this pillow after a month-full of sleepless, restless nights and cranky mornings. I am at the beginning of my 6th month and like all the other moms-to-be have struggled with trying to find a comfortable position at night that didn't give me a cramp on some part of my body in the morning. After a few weeks of debating and looking at every online review I could find, I finally went to BabiesRUs and purchased a snoogle. When I got home and put it into our bedroom, my husband looked at it and said "what is that and how much did it cost?" and I said "It's a pillow and hopefully it's priceless."(I've been bringing baby stuff home since our first sonogram) Well ladies, let me tell you that after a week of use, I can honestly say...THIS PILLOW GAVE ME THE ONE THING I HAD MISSED ALL THESE MONTHS (besides my waistline) ... A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP!
So if you're like me, and value your sleep, this is a must have! You're gonna spend money on lots of things between now and when your little bundle comes, might as well be on yourself. Remember if you don't get a good night's sleep that's not good for you, not good for your baby, and in my case not good for my husband who had to listen to me complain about not being comfortable all night long. Happy shopping! - Aiden's Mom

Customer Review: The Worst Night's Sleep
Summary: 2 Stars

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and this is my second pregnancy. I bought the Snoogle after suffering from neck pain, pins and needles in my arm (on the side I was sleeping) and due to a desire to stop rolling onto my back in the night. The reviews seemed helpful and the Snoogle was cheaper than the "J" shaped pregnancy pillow (also available through amazon online and got better reviews). I put my own pillow case over the head part, as one reviewer suggested. And I was set. But I had the worst night's sleep! I tried it for 3 nights and 3 naps. It did allow me to stay put and not roll onto my back because I was so cradled. But the head piece (and I switched the pillow around and tried both ends with similar results) was a little too hard and hurt my ear. When I rolled over, if I was facing the curve (didn't want to roll the pillow over in the night), I felt suffocated by the curve of the head piece. Plus, it really is too hot to sleep with. And it's too difficult to toss around the bed (it gets tangled and you need all the sleep you can get). I found it took up LESS room than the pillows I was using, but it cradled my head in such a way that I didn't sleep well at all. Instead, I purchased a new extra firm head pillow and used a regular pillow for between my legs. And had the best night's sleep in 3 nights or more (no neck pain or pins and needles). I'm taking my pillow back ASAP.

Customer Review: Lifesaver
Summary: 4 Stars

At around the 5 month mark in my pregnancy the aches and sleepless nights hit. That's when I went in search of a good pregnancy pillow and found the embarrassingly named, but effective Snoogle. It took some getting used to - I'm 6 feet tall and this thing still strikes me as big. I can't imagine how a petite woman would sleep with it! And sometimes it felt like the Snoogle was coming after me the way it could curl around and poke me in the back - but once I figured out some new comfortable sleep positions it really became a life saver, and I've continued to use it many months after my baby was born.

I've found so many uses for this pillow beyond the traditional side sleeper with a portion tucked between my knees. It's especially come in handy when using my laptop in bed - with the tightly curved portion as a neck pillow and the long side supporting my arm. It's also easy to coil up and put under your legs for considerable height and support (I imagine it would be great for back problems or elevating a sprain) - plus the fact that it can twist around so easily makes it easy to fold up and store.

The cover has worn well - and it's stayed clean and plush. I'd definitely recommend it if you're in need of heavy duty support. Just make sure you have a big enough bed or a partner who's willing to share with your newest sleep buddy.

Customer Review: It Makes a Good Gift
Summary: 3 Stars

My mom got this for me for my birthday when I was about 4.5 months along. I thought this product would blow me away, but it really hasn't. I don't think it is built for a shorter person (I'm only 5'3") or a taller person (maybe over 5'8" or 5'9"). My main complaint is that the pillow hangs out in front or behind me by about 6" causing a lack in knee and belly support. Further, the ends of the pillow are so stuffed and "fluffy" that, no matter which end is up, I am nearly levitating off the bed which causes a lot of pain in my side. Part of this issue is that I like to sleep on an incline, so I'm using a regular pillow under the head part, but I really don't feel the ends are supportive enough on their own to be used alone. Lastly, I tend to get claustrophobic, especially with fabric obstructing my path to fresh, cool air, so having this pillow wrap around the front is especially suffocating. There goes the minimal belly support that I did have...

I'm sure this review sounds more like a 1- or 2-star than a 3-star, but I thought carefully about that. Despite all my complaints, I've slept straight through the night (even without pee breaks!) since using this and I have NEVER done that in my life. Something about the constant cradling really does help! It makes the few aches and pains acceptable when the morning rules around...

Customer Review: Men! Buy this for your pregnant wife!
Summary: 5 Stars

Men! Buy this for your pegnant wife! But...be forewarned, mr. snoogle will instantly become her best friend in bed. Once introduced to my wife, she slept with mr. snoogle every night! You will be demoted to #2 status (but, fortunately, you'll still be allowed to sleep in the bed). Sure, she will still invite you to snuggle with her. But, and I speak from experience, it is kind of like sharing your bed with a giant 6 foot earthworm that insists on lying between you and your wife. Awkward. Snuggling just isn't the same. You'll just have to man-up for the next several months and accept that you are now a second class citizen in your own bed. To add insult to injury you should also know that your wife will undress mr. snoogle every once in a while so that his jacket can be washed, and you will be asked to redress mr. snoogle, which again is an awkward process (think about trying to put a 6 foot sock on a 6 foot uncooperative worm) but, on the positive side, this might be good practice at dressing your soon to be wiggly newborn child.

But you know what? It is 100% worth it. The inconvenience and alienation you experience pales in comparison to the comfort and relief that mr. snoogle brings your wife during this wonderful time. And do not despair! As soon as our child was born mr. snoogle was escorted off the premises.
