Customer Review: After three other bathtubs this is the one!

I went through many different bathtubs for my baby girl. I had a safety first tub that folded, a wire frame tub with a cloth cover that made it more like a lawnchair, a non-folding tub by safety first and then I finally broke down and tried this tub. I hated how all the others allowed my daughter to slide around and even slip down and turn sideways while bathing. This bath sponge tub is great. She does not slip slide around, I can wash her entire body much easier, and when the tub is filled properly she is nice and warm. She loves to kick and splash with her feet while in the other tubs she would squirm and start to cry.
If the sponge tub starts to smell after awhile (mine did after 3 months) try to put it in the washer and then hang it in a well ventillated area. That is why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 - it did smell alittle mildewy recently but now after being washed it is fine.
Lets just say the other three tubs are going in the lawn sale this summer!

I absolutly love the Safer Bather! Everytime I give my, now 2 month baby a bath using it, I remember that I want to rate it on Amazon so that others know what a great product it is! So here I am...With my first baby I had one of those big plastic baths, it was hard, bulky and certanly did not look like my baby was comfortable in it. I dreaded bath time and ended up just taking him in the shower with us. The Safer Bather is soft, comfortable, ans so easy to use. Drop it in a warm bath, and it soakes up the warm water. Your baby is surrounded by warm water, and comfy as can be. Alexis loves taking baths with her 5 year old brother. Her head is lifted up just enough with pillow cushion to keep her mouth out of the water. It is so easy to store and put away. Just pick it up and all of the water comes pouring out of it, hang it on it's hook in the bathtub and within a couple hours it is totally dry. No worries about mildew etc.. LOVE IT!!

This is big and cushiony and soft. It keeps his head elevated to help keep water out of his ears. I love the hook so you can hang it up afterwards. It dries pretty quickly. I bought one of those little sponges first, and it didn't take long for it to start getting dark spots and smelling moldy. My only problem with this is that I somehow got the impression that it floated. I thought it would make taking a bath with him a little easier. It actually doesn't work for that at all. It's like a sponge in that it soaks up water, so you can't put very much water in the tub and use this. That's why only 4 stars. Also I got it when he was already 5 months old, and he would much rather sit up (with help) than lay back. This would've been great for those early sponge baths too. Our tub is very awkward to lean into, so having him lay on the floor of the tub is back breaking for me. But as far as the actual product goes, it's wonderful.Customer Review: Perfect for new Mothers and Premie babies

This is a "must have" item for newborns and new mothers!. While pregnant with my first baby I was very scare of the "first baby bath" experience, however, with the Safer Bather, my fears were gone!. My baby loves it, it keeps him comfortable and warm during the bath, so comfortable that he sleeps sometimes while I am bathing him!!. I use it in combination with the First Years Newborn to Toddler bathtub, the Safer Bather fits in it, by the way, I don't use the "hammok" that comes with the First Years bathtub because it is difficult to keep the baby warm. My "tip"- when I use it, I continously pour warm water over the top of the Safer Bather (part that is not "under water", where baby's head rest), to also keep the back of his head warm. I also used the Safer Bather for the first few days after the baby was born, when only sponge baths are recommended, it was perfect to use over my bed!.Customer Review: We absolutely loved this!!

After hearing from several people that we shouldn't waste our money on an infant bathtub, we decided we would buy the cheap "sponge" to bathe our daughter on. I read about the Safer Bather in a magazine and decided to try it. We began using this product immediately when her cord fell off and only stopped using it because she began crawling off of it! I loved the fact that once it came into contact with the water it stayed put, not floating on top of the water like the cheap sponge versions. The hook was nice so that I could hang it up in the shower and get it out of the way so that it would be dry by the next day. I had to use one of the cheap sponge versions on several occasions when going out of town, and I absolutely hated them!!! Not only was the Safer Bather great when she was a newborn, but it was fantastic when she began sitting up because it wouldn't slip around the bathtub. You will not regret buying this product!
