These cloth rail covers work pretty well. I could do without the toy hooks, though. I have a conv. crib but it has standard width sides (with a drop side) and the regular version of this cover fits. I know previous posters have commented that it didn't fit their cribs. Do your homework first so you know which cover you need. There is a separate one for conv cribs that may work better for your needs that is made by this same company. As someone else commented, no the padding is not super thick, but I don't think it needs to be. Much thicker and it wouldn't wrap around the railing as easily. The height of the cover when installed makes it a little hard to easily grasp the top of the drop-side of my crib, but it's workable. The velcro underneath goes right where your fingers would go to lift the side. But it works and is not a big deal by any means. It works well for our Sorelle Rosa crib which has relatively thin bars and hidden hardware. The covers are a couple inches short for the length of the crib but this works well since cribs with hidden hardware also have bars flush against both ends of the length that would have made it hard to pinch off the last bits of velcro. Note that the velcro attachment extends the full length of the teether cover.
Also worth noting is that the material can be bunched up for the attachment of a cozy crib tent. This takes out the extra length provided in the attachment strips of the tent while giving a bit more volume to teether cover. It looks seamless to the casual observer.
We're still waiting for the baby but the product looks quite durable and the initial wash didn't cause any pilling.

We have a Delta drop-gate crib. The top of the fixed side panel is
not level. Initially we used the 'Lionheart' teether, but our son
quickly realized that they can be removed - and would be the first thing
he would do when he was put in the crib.
These cloth rail-covers are designed for the long drop-side bars, but we
use them on the sides, with 1/3 turning in and wrapping on to the front
panel. So the 2 sides do not meet in the middle, but as the front
panel bar is very thick, our son has not been interested in gnawing at
it anyway. So this cover has served its purpose.
Oh yes, we did remove the loops that were stitched on for hanging
toys.

The concept for this product is great. The crib rail cover is well constructed and easy to use. The problem is that I have a convertible crib (which a lot of people do). The crib rail cover does not list any measurements on it so the package has to be cut open to find out that it doesn't fit. This cover will not fit my convertible crib and I'm not sure that it would fit many-- if any. I added some stretchy tabs to wrap around and hold it on since it was way to short, but who wants to go to that work when you've purchased a product. I would have been saved the hassle if they had just put the measurements of the product on the website and on the package. I would have loved it if it had fit my crib.Customer Review: PERFECT!!! This is the perfect rail cover for a STANDARD crib. It will not fit the wider rails of a convertible crib. My first son chewed up his convertible crib so badly that it was trash when he was done with it, and I couldn't find anything to cover the rails with, so this time around I bought a standard crib so that I could cover the rails. So this time when the teething started I ordered this and it fits perfectly and it keeping the crib nice and my son's gums splinter free. He is pulling up in the crib and has not been able to remove this yet and it is soft enough that when he bites on it...it doesn't hurt his mouth. I love it and would recommend this product to anyone who has a chewer around :)
