Baby Products Reviews of Leachco Back 'N Belly Contoured Body Pillow, IvoryCustomer Review: LOVE this pillow Summary: 5 Stars
If Leachco made regular pillows, I'd buy them all. I bought this in my second month of pregnancy while trying to "train" myself to stop sleeping on my back. I'm at almost 8 months now and although I still have a tendency to wake up on my back, I cannot believe how great this pillow has helped me in the comfort department - so much so, I wish I could get rid of all my pillows and stick with this. DH wouldn't be too happy with the lack of bed space however, so that won't work! The quality of this pillow is excellent. I am prone to regularly waking up with stiff necks and i do mean REGULARLY. I have tried different pillows throughout the years and not one matched the quality of the Leachco pillow. I have not suffered a single stiff neck using this. The long sides give me something to put between my legs or stuff under one side of my back. When I get tired of lying on my left side, I have something to tuck between my legs when i turned to the right. If I need more padding while sitting up in bed, I place the two (or one) side behind me and it's amazingly comfortable! This is such a great pillow. The only thing I wish they would make are zippered covers (to protect from bed bugs) which I heard at one point was going around in NYC. I love this pillow...A LOT and I'm usually hard to please - HIGHLY recommend this.
Customer Review: pregnant woman loves her pillow Summary: 5 Stars
This pillow is well worth the money. At first I was hesitant to buy it because of the price. I had already spent money on extra pillows, however I still was not comfortable. My husband actually persuaded me to buy the pillow.
I would recommend this pillow to any pregnant woman who wakes up in the middle of the night for any reason. You don't have to worry about repositioning pillows to get that perfect comfort level. You can also switch from your right to left side with ease; again not worrying about repositioning pillows.
The design is great! The hourglass shape makes sure that there is just the right amount of support under your belly and on your back.
I was a little scared about the size of the pillow, in relation to a queen sized bed. Not a problem! Except every now and then, when I want to roll over and I find my husband hugging that side. I think he is trying to steal it from me.
The cover is easy to wash and put back on. I have not found any discomfort with the material of the pillow.
I am looking forward to using the pillow for aid in breast feeding, as advertised by Leachco.
I hope that if you decide to purchase this pillow you will find the comfort that I have found! My only regret, honestly, is that I did not get the pillow earlier.
Customer Review: No Regrets Summary: 5 Stars
I'm 6 months pregnant with my first child and I've been having problems with my back, tailbone and my hips. I read all the reviews for the best pillow and I decided on this one. IT'S THE BEST THING I'VE EVER PURCHASED FOR MYSELF!! It's so comfortable and it elevates whatever hip I'm not laying on so I'm not having any lower back, tailbone or hip pain during the night anymore. It also helps with reducing bathroom time in the middle of the night (I don't know how but it does). The main thing that I love about this product is the "U" shape so I don't have to readjust myself every time I switch sides.
For anybody who is looking for that comfortable sleep, BUY THIS PILLOW!!!!!!
The one thing I can say is that you need at least a queen-sized bed to accomodate you and your husband because it does take up alot of room, which is also a benefit for all those women out there who have husbands that tend to hog the bed. You have your own designated space just for yourself.
I'll even use this after I have my daughter because you can also use it like a boppie/backrest. I'm sure that will come in handy since I plan on breastfeeding and it'll give me that extra support for my arms and back. But I can still see myself using to help me sleep at night or even for a nap after the baby is born.
Customer Review: Almost perfect... Summary: 4 Stars
I've had this pillow for about 6 weeks now and absolutely love it. The first 2-3 days it took a little getting use to, the most uncomfortable part for me was the seam along the inside top of the pillow. I'm used to sleeping with my pillow squished into my shoulder and that seam was a little stiff the first few nights. But it's relaxed and softened up since then! This has helped dramatically with the leg cramps I had been getting because I not only have support between my knees, but with my knees slightly bent I am able to have my feet separated by the back part of the pillow which keeps my entire top leg level. The only real difficulty at this point, is the amount of space it takes up in bed. We have a queen size bed and my poor husband now only has about 1/3 of the bed for himself. Some of the other reviewers made comments about having difficulty getting out of bed because of the size. I've not had a single problem. This pillow is actually very flexible and I just lift the bottom of the pillow up on the outside of the bed and get out like I normally would. All in all, this pillow has made a tremendous difference in the amount of sleep I'm able to get at night. I'm no longer tossing and turning as much. If I could only make it through the night without a bathroom trip I'd be all set...
Customer Review: Great Pregnancy Pillow!!! Summary: 4 Stars
I got this pillow early on in my first trimester when sleeping was already an issue. Now I am almost at the end of my pregnancy (36 weeks) and I have used it nearly the entire time. Here is my take on those who were seriously unhappy with this product, you're pregnant and uncomfortable and nothing is going to get you sleeping like you did before being pregnant. I still have trouble getting a great night of sleep, but the pillow really helps. It is very large and would be ideal for a king size bed over my queen size, but it still works. It helps to have an understanding husband who doesn't mind losing some of his bed space. I also use a regular bed pillow with this and that helps me move into a more comfortable position and get extra support where needed. It has not lost its shape at all and continues to add lots of support for my growing belly. I have used it with the curve at the top and find that works best for me and is easier to move around with than having the u shape by my legs. I also have used it with the two ends at my head, but only for shorter naps or to read.
The cons on this are that the pillowcase isn't the highest quality fabric and felt uncomfortable compared to my nice sheets. So, I had my mother-in-law sew another pillowcase from h
