This pillow is a gimmick. I was 5 months pregnant when I purchased this item, hoping to use it to be more comfortable while sleeping. What a waste! First, it's incredibly large, leaving little room on our queen size bed for my husband and requiring more blankets to cover me. However, the real problem is that I simply could not find a comfortable position with it. If I used it with the curve by the head, my neck would be very uncomforable as would my arms, especially the one I had to put under the pillow (it would always go numb). It's impossible to use with a pillow if you need extra neck support. If I switched it around with the open end at the top and curved end at my feet, I had no head support whatsoever (and no room for a pillow) and I never found the right spot to put it in between my legs to give me the support I needed. Also, changing positions from side to side was nearly impossible without a major struggle (like it's not hard enough just being pregnant!). I am not in any way a larger than average person (I am 5'6) so being too big or tall was not the problem. The only way I enjoyed using this was as something to sit 'in' while watching TV in bed, alone. I stopped using after a few days and now just use a pillow in between my knees and under my belly (if needed) which works just fine. Now, I have to find a way to dispose of the gigantic thing! Save yourself some money and just use some pillows to provide the support where you need it. I wish I had not felt so desperate for some comfort to waste so much money on this!!!Customer Review: worth every penny

bought this for my wife who was having trouble sleeping in just the 1st trimester. all sorts of cons from reviewers but then almost everyone would still write that it was a very comfortable sleep, so I gave it a shot. yes, it's big, bulky, doesn't leave much room for me...I was scared she would look at it and think -whoa! it's huge! cumbersome...etc....but to my surprise she gave it a try and wow is it worth it! she sleeps like a baby! and now that she does, even I do, even with less room...sometimes i snuggle up to the outside of the pillow with her in it, as long as she is facing the other direction...very comfortable. most agree the material is a bit scratchy at first on the face, but she got over it quick. Later she came up with the idea of cutting a pillow case at the closed end and pulling it over the Leachco pillow so the case is where her face rests. easy to remove & wash. problem solved. we have yet to try and remove the cover that comes with it to wash it, so i'm not sure, but it does look like it may be difficult to remove & put back on. my wife is 5' 2" so it is perfect for her, actually she disappears in it. I can see where some complained it is too short for taller people, their knees will be past the ends of the pillow...hard to tell where that height limit is drawn on whether it would be worth it or not though. i got it for about $70 delivered...if for some reason the pillow disappeared and i could only get a new one for double...I wouldn't even think twice...yup that good.Customer Review: A Must Have!

I absolutely love it. My pillow finally arrived and I it and thought i would share! I think someone else posted they bougt it a while back and loved it as well. Its soooo comfy. Lately some nights I'll have back, belly, or leg pains and some nights i just wasn't able to get comfy -but this pillow is sooo comfy. Unlike other one sided pregnancy pillows like the snoogle -its the same on both sides so no matter which way I turned, (I'm a tosser) I was comfortable -I was even comfy on my back -but was safely never flat on my back -always with my head elevated and leaning one way or another. Right now I am sitting up in bed with my laptop and have the pillow half bent up against the headboard so I'm sitting comfortably. I'm sue I'm going to be using it sleep even after pregnancy.
I was skeptical of buying it online at first because you can't return a used pillow, but after reading a ton of product descriptions and reviews online I decide on the Leachco Back n Belly pillow. It is the lowest priced on amazon at 54.99 w/o taxes or shipping
The only thing negative I found true from reading the reviews is that it has a traditional type pillowcase that is a pain to lug on such a huge pillow -and if you buy it from amazon like I did -it is in 'ivory' white so it can get dirty easily if you don't wash off your makeup first -but i just draped a soft bath towel over the head part -or a small soft baby blanket would do too.

This pillow was an absolute life saver! I'm a stomach sleeper who sleeps flat on the mattress with no pillows. Well, after a few months into pregnancy, I could no longer do this, so I bought this to keep me in one place. I found myself trying to sneak onto my stomach in the middle of the night, and the discomfort would wake me up.
Now, be advised, this pillow is HUGE! We have a king bed, and it took up my entire side, but the comfort I got from sleeping with it...so worth it! As I got bigger and bigger, I found this was necessary to sleep comfortably. If I laid on my side without it, I felt like my stomach was ripping from my body due to the added weight (yes, a little bizarre, but what are ya gonna do?), so this helped so much in supporting my tummy.
The only downside to this is your significant other will probably HATE this pillow. My husband referred to it as my 'Feathered Fort'. He couldn't get near me when I was in it! But this aside, it was one of the best things I've purchased. I wanted to continue using it after my son was born since it was just so comfortable, but my husband threatened to set it on fire in the backyard, so in the closet it went :( Oh, also, just be advised, getting the cover back on can be a little tricky, but I washed the cover many time, and each time, putting it back on got easier and easier, it's definitely not impossible. Overall, I just can't recommend this enough, if you're interested, I say absolutely go for it!

I am 7 months pregnant and have been using this pillow for about a month now. Prior to that, I just surrounded myself with regular pillows, which were frequently knocked off the bed or accidentally "stolen" by my husband. This pillow eliminates those problems. We call it my "nest", and it is quite comfortable. I can turn over and move around in my sleep without having to constantly re-position pillows, and the back support is wonderful. I don't normally sleep on my side, but I can sleep very nicely on my side while leaning back against the pillow a bit so that I am more comfortable. I do still try to roll on my back in my sleep, but the pillow holds me in place so that I am still lying on my side somewhat and not completely on my back. My husband is looking forward to getting to use the pillow once the baby is born - though I am sure I'll still want to use it even when I'm not pregnant!
I have not had problems with it losing its fluffiness. For reference, I am 5'5" and 135 lbs right now at 7 months. If you are substantially bigger or smaller, you may have an entirely different experience.
One important thing to keep in mind: this pillow is BIG. It takes up exactly half of our king-size bed. This is alright for us; even though my husband is a pretty big guy, he still has enough room. I don't think it would work out so well if we had a smaller bed - even a queen bed might end up cramped, depending on how large your husband is.
