I have had my fair share of difficulties with breastfeeding and all the joys that go along with it, but I was determined to do it. The hospital where I delivered gave me a sample tube of Madela's Lanolin, and while it was okay, I wasn't finding sufficient relief to continue using it consistently. One early morning before a feeding, I rolled over in bed and while the weight of my breasts resettled on the other side, my sore nipples felt like they were rubbing on sandpaper so I started researching. After reading a lot of reviews about Lansinoh's product, I decided to try it out. A lot of people complained about the thick consistency of the product, but I'm convinced that's what saved my nipples! I was in extreme pain (no broken skin though) every time my son would first latch, then the first feeding after the first time I used this lanolin, my pain was significantly reduced. I use Lansinoh's lonolin regularly after a feeding and continue to love it! My only complaint is that my son sometime's has some trouble latching because it is slippery so I just make sure to wipe it off right before a feeding and still feel relieved!
