Baby Products Reviews of Lamaze Play and Grow Mortimer the Moose Take Along Toy, Colors May VaryCustomer Review: My niece's favorite Summary: 5 Stars
This was my niece's favorite Lamaze toy. Before she had teeth, she would gum the antlers longer than she would pay attention to ANYTHING else. I used the hooves to show and name her different colors (each hoof bottom is a different color). She also liked sucking on Mortimer's nose for some reason. I think it's the ripply, textured fur. Oh, and the two rings on Mortimer's [...], or I guess his "tails," are great differently-patterned/textured sorts of rings.
Oh, but don't stick him in the dryer. His fur pills.
Customer Review: A Favorite! Summary: 5 Stars
My daughter is 8 months old and LOVES Mortimer! The antlers have a great shape for little fingers to explore and a good texture for gumming, and she gets the biggest kick out of grabbing his feet and hearing them crinkle. Now that she's at the pulling-herself-up-and-walking-along-furniture stage, we've hooked him onto her excersaucer and she goes right for him (instead of the coffee table, book shelves or cat). Great toy, provides extended entertainment for little people with short attenion spans. Worth every penny!
Customer Review: Many things to explore on Mortimer! Summary: 4 Stars
This is a wonderful toy for infants learning noises and textures! My daughter loves the squeaky tummy and the rattling feet! She is only 4 months old and it is a little large for her. The only thing that concerns me is that when she is playing with it and trying to get it in her mouth, I'm afraid the pointy part of the antler is going to get her in the eye! So I just watch her when she has him! But over all it is a great toy at a great price. It would make a wonderful baby shower present!
Customer Review: We Love Mortimer! Summary: 5 Stars
Mortimer has been one of my son's favorite toys since he was about 3 months old. He is almost 9 months and his face still lights up when we bring Mortimer along. He is always fascinated by the crinkle, the jingle, and even the noise of the rings clacking together. Mortimer's antlers and rings are great for teething and the fact that Mortimer squeaks is a plus too. I bought Mortimer for my son on top reviews and I agree 100%, if you only have one favorite toy, give Mortimer a try!
Customer Review: Kai's second favorite Summary: 3 Stars
Mortimer is my son's second favorite. He is soft and likes the surprise squeek when he squeezes Mort's middle. Kai likes to sit and "talk" to Mort about the days events. His legs are nice and skinney so that they are easy for little hands just learnig how to grab to hold on to. The only draw back for me is that while the antlers are great for teething I find that he can get most of it in his mouth and choke himself. I like Mort but I am not far from my son when he is chewing on him.
