Customer Review: My twins love this toy

It's bright, durable and has a variety of surfaces to feel and chew on. The only minus is the manufacturere's instruction to surface clean only. We have two little ones chewing on the bird, spitting milk on it and dropping it on the floor when it's not attached. I had no choice but to put it in the washer and it survived! Not sure if I am compromising some aspect of this toy's safety or durability by washing it, but I believe that it is unsafe to use for babies if you can't wash it thoroughly. I used a cold gentle cycle and dried it in the dryer.
Otherwise it's a wonderful toy and the little ones were attracted to the big eyes even at a very young age - I have photos of them around two months old looking at the bird with interest. Now they are six months old and love to ruffle it's tail.

We received Jacques the Peacock as a gift shortly after our baby was born. We were amazed to see how much our baby immediately liked looking at this toy. The back of Jacques is different black and white patterns and a big red tail. From what I understand black, white and red may be some of the only colors newborns can see. Within weeks we hung Jacques from our baby gym and our baby was hitting it and making it spin.
It has been a great toy to travel with because it has so many different stimulating things. One of the feathers is a mirror, one is a squeak toy, one makes a crinkly sound. She can pick him up now and turn him around and attempt to eat his feathers. Overall, he's a lot of fun.
And he conveniently hooks onto everything. So that is a plus!

I purchased Jacques because I wanted a plush toy for my infant sons carseat. I had been given other car seat toys but they had too many hard pieces and I was worried that in the event of an accident they could cause injuries. Jacques is nice and soft and my son loves him. At first (2months) he just loved to look at him and maybe grab his feathers and crinkle them. Now (at 3 months) he wants me to take the toy down so he can grab it and chew on the crinkly wings. The bright colors are great, he loves the mirror and squeaker too.
**ETA: one thing I am not liking is the clip. It hangs it a little to high in his carseat and it is a little difficult to take on and off, I might prefer an alligator type clip instead.

This is great for babies of different ages. It's great for a newborn because newborns will be fascinated by the black and white patterns on the back of the wings. It's also great for babies who are discovering the use of their hands and are engrossed by the things they pick up and put in their mouths.
I got this toy for my son was about 5 months old (he's almost 7 months old now). He loves to grab the wings that crinkles and explore the different colors, patterns, and textures. There is a lot going on in just one toy and it keeps my son busy because there's so much to look at and feel. I only wish I discovered it when he was a newborn so he could make better use of the black and white patterns on the back.

Its an amazing colorful toy, but we just bought morty the moose, and she likes it reguardless of the color factor, it also had better teether places, the peacock has just its wings which all have the same textures, the little green circle has the squeek, v.s morty which his hole side body is eaisly touched n squeeks, the ball is so small in this toy it makes a sound just not as eaisy or as loud! If your wanting flashy colors this is it, if your wanting teething/ entertainment quality morty is the one to go with.. but for a while Lilly liked looking at this wings and colors which the back wings has different patterns of black n white swirls! OVER ALL IT IS A GREAT TOY.. JUST NOT THE BEST LAMAZE IN MY OPINION!
