Baby Products Reviews of Lamaze Peekaboo, I Love YouCustomer Review: MY BABY LOVES THIS BOOK Summary: 5 Stars
This is a really cute book! It was also highly recommended by Oppenheimer. When I first read it to my 3 and 1/2 month old son he started chuckling and chortling out loud in delight. Something instinctive in children just love playing peekaboo but also something about this book because I have another peekaboo book and he never reacted that way with that book. And it's not an annoying book for adults to read. I also paid only $8 cause I saw a special at the store, don't know if I would pay $12 plus shipping for close to $20!
Customer Review: Maybe not for my kid, or better when he's older Summary: 3 Stars
My son loves peek a boo at this age of 9 months so I thought this book would be perfect! This book doesn't engage him enough though it seems. He does however like the cover the most if I make pretend blow-kisses and peekaboo gestures with the hands and show him. He also likes when I fan the hair towards his face.
Maybe when he's older he will flip the flaps but right now he just likes the mirror at the end and the front cover. If I flip the book through he just takes the book and shakes it around.
Customer Review: for traditional families Summary: 4 Stars
The child plays peek-a-boo in the book with Mommy, Daddy, sister (but no brother), Grandma, Grandpa, puppy, and kitty...... I guess it isn't a huge deal, but if you don't have a traditional family with all of these members it may not be as much fun for the child. The book itself is well made and really cute. There are lots of things to touch and lots of interaction.
Customer Review: Great for babies Summary: 5 Stars
we just got this book for our one-year-old and she loves it. It's so nice that she can't bite chunks out of it like she can a board book or rip it like a paper one. She can chew on it, pull on it, and carry it all over the house! She loves the little flaps that open and is learning simple words like "daddy," "mommy," "puppy," etc. We love it.
Customer Review: Good Book Summary: 4 Stars
I like this book but the same words on every page seem to lose her interest more quickly and I don't like that there is a peekaboo sister page but no peekaboo brother page. It just seems like there is something missing when you have one but not the other. I'm sure my 8 month old doesn't care but I just find it weird.
