I just caught my baby quietly playing with these in his crib. I put them on while he slept and when he woke up, he didn't even cry. I had to peek in at him because he was quiet past his usual waking time. When I did, I found him contentedly playing with the wrist toys. He was smiling, cooing and waving them into his mouth. He hasn't discovered his feet yet, so we haven't been putting the socks on. The only caveat I anticipate is that his foot may outgrow the socks by the time he discovers & plays with his feet.
Just bought another set for a friend who is expecting!

I got these for my son when he was 6 months old. He discovered his feet closer to 4 months old, and I wish I'd gotten them at that time because his feet are already too chunky for these socks. I can ALMOST get it on his foot, enough so he can play with it. And he does like them a lot! But really these socks would be better if they were in a stretchy material so they'd fit more foot sizes. Also the wrist rattles will BARELY close around my baby's wrist - and it takes some fanagling even for that.
I'd recommend this for babies 3-5 months of age.

The rattles are cute but doesn't really serve their function to "rattle". The sound is really low and you have to kind of shake quite hard in order for the rattle sound to be heard. It's hard for newborn to shake their hands/feet to make it sound hard enough to interest them. When I put it on my newborn she wasn't even aware that they're there. At 12 week, my daughter is starting to gain more control of her hands and feet and awareness so I'm going to give it a try again but the foot rattle no longer fits her. They should really make it a bit bigger.Customer Review: Best for small babies

I purchased this when my daughter was around 2 months old. The wrist part is great, she's almost 5 months old now and she can still wear them. The foot part was always too small. The fabric of the "socks" isn't very stretchy so we never got to use them. I'm pretty sure I saw the wrist part sold separately and that's what I should have purchased. My daughter is big for her age. As I said she is nearly 5 months but wears size 6-9 months in most clothes and size 12 months in others. So maybe if your baby is small then the sock part will fit.Customer Review: They are okay

I bought this when my baby was almost 5 months old. I think this is best though for a younger baby who can't roll over yet. My baby was interested in it at first and then she would get bored and just roll over. The colors are nice. She likes to put these in her mouth. Now, at almost 6 months, I don't put these on her anymore but I still use the wrist rattles to put on her infant carrier. Overall, I like the Lamaze toys. Her first lamaze toy was Jacques the Peacock and she would talk and giggle with Mr. Jacques.
