Baby Products Reviews of Lamaze Garden Bug Wrist Rattle/Foot Finder Set

Customer Review: Hands down one of the "must haves" for baby
Summary: 5 Stars

My son is 5 months old and simply LOVES these rattles. Just a tip, wear the socks OVER TOP of their normal socks/jumpers to help them stay on better. My little guy always plays with his feet when he sits in his bumbo seat which is what prompted me to purchase these. The wrist rattles are a treat and I almost wish they'd sell a wrist rattle "teether" because he certainly likes to nibble at the crinkle fabric. The fabric patterns are alluring and eye catching for baby and the rattle is loud enough to hold attention but subtle enough to not be obnoxious.
With a few girlfriends expecting babies very soon, I just found a new favorite staple to toss in their baby gift baskets.

Customer Review: Not a fascination for every baby
Summary: 3 Stars

I read the great reviews and thought this would be great for my 3.5 month old daughter since she likes to watch her hands move a lot. Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to take very much interest in the wrist rattles. I agree w/one reviewer who said that they don't rattle very much unless you really shake them hard, which it doesn't look like a baby would do? Also, another reviewer mentioned that the foot socks are not stretchable so it's rather difficult to slip the foot finders on & off my little girl's feet -- they seem to barely fit and she is at 50% weight for her age! So I slip them on her hands instead but all she does is stare at them...

Customer Review: Figured it out!
Summary: 5 Stars

Our baby LOVES these wrist/foot rattles, but I couldn't figure out how to keep the socks on - she kept kicking them off every few minutes. First I tried cuffing them, which helped a little.
But I finally figured out that they stay on when put OVER her regular socks. She's 3 months old and has super-chubby legs, so it wasn't that they were too large for her. They just tend to stretch and all off as she is kicking.
I wish they were made out of "normal" sock material instead of thin t-shirt type material, but now that I've found a way to keep them on her feet, I'm a happy Mom, and she's a happy baby!

Customer Review: Cute, but wish they rattled louder
Summary: 3 Stars

First off - these are very cute. I love the design and the bugs' cute little faces. They fit on my daughter's feet when she's wearing a sleeper, and fit well around her wrists. My only gripe is that the "rattle" isn't very loud at all. It seems too quiet to get a baby excited, and in fact, I'm not sure that the rattling is loud enough to grab a baby's attention. (If you add in the noises of older siblings, a washing machine that is always running, etc - a baby wouldn't think much of the rattle.) If I had known that the rattling sound wasn't more noticeable, I probably wouldn't have purchased them.

Customer Review: Shake Rattle & Roll!
Summary: 4 Stars

These rattles are great! But putting all four on at once is over-stimulating. We found it's best to just use one at a time. Moreover, these rattles are highly versatile: our child is not only amused when they are attached to her wrist or ankle, but she aslo likes to simply grab for and hold the rattle in her hands.

I'd give this toy 5 stars if it were made in the USA or someplace with better safefy standards than China. This toy is highly stimulating, but when our child starts to to put it in her mouth, we encourage her to instead chew on something safe like Vulli's Sophie the Giraffe.
