Customer Review: First Friends for My Daughter
Summary: 5 Stars

My daughter began noticing these when she was 5 weeks old. We would show them to her when we would change her diaper, but not put them on her.

By 6 weeks old she was showing a definite interest in the wrist bee toy by smiling at it. We began calling it Mr. Bee, and we placed it on her wrist whenever she was in her bouncer or in her BebePod. At eight weeks old, she began babbling and cooing to Mr. Bee whenever she wasn't interacting with us.

My daughter is now 17 weeks old, and Mr. Bee is still her best friend. She really enjoys visiting with Ms. Ladybug and Mr. Dragonfly, too. We don't have them all visit at once- my daughter is happiest with one-on-one interaction with each of them.

I love that she can have a little "friend" velcroed to her when we go out- it can't get dropped, and is small enough to tag along.

*UPDATE*
I bought a new set of bugs for my new baby boy, and he adores them! At four months old, his favorite is Mr. Dragonfly. My daughter- now two- still loves these little toys!

Customer Review: Too small!
Summary: 1 Stars

I purchased these for my 4 month old grandson and they are just too small. I can barely get the wrist rattles to velcro around his wrists. I will admit that he is a big boy, but still, he is only 4 months old! The socks are even worse! They are not stretchy at all and are not shaped to a human foot, so by the time I struggle to get them on him, he's fidgety and cranky and in no mood to play with his feet. Also, I would fault Amazon for this toy description and numerous others on the site for not indicating the appropriate age for the toy. If these had said they were for 0-3 months say, I would not have expected them to fit my large 4 month old grandson, but no age was indicated and the reviews showed people using them on much older children so I took a chance that they would work. They don't. I am very disappointed. (BTW the age indicated on the box is 0+ so they should fit larger children than my grandson!)

Customer Review: Very cute but a Short Window of Play
Summary: 4 Stars

These are awfully cute and look great as a baby gift. The problem is that at about the time babies are ready to see them on their hands and feet, they are moving pretty well and can kick them off fairly easily. The wrist straps are a little different because they are closed with Velcro. It is sweet to see your baby move their hands, startle themselves with the noise or to see this cute bug in their line of vision and try to figure out how they made it move.

They are good for a short amount of play time in both ways: one, they are only good on a baby for a limited amount of time and then they are often frustrated with them, and two, babies figure out pretty easily how to kick the socks off, especially because the bugs are weighted at the toes.

If you have a choice, I would go with just wrist bugs and skip the socks.

Customer Review: Good concept but execution needs some work
Summary: 3 Stars

I thought these were a great idea. I'm not sure what age our daughter was when bought these but she was a couple of months. She never really played with them when we put them on her wrists however she did like them when we dangled them over her or put it on her play gym.

At 8 months though she plays with them as part of her regular toys and loves shaking them and chewing on them.

There are 2 major flaws with these.

1)The socks are not stretchy at all and even as a small baby we couldn't get them on her feet.

2)The wrist straps are extremely small. They barely fit on the baby's wrist. We thought putting them on the ankle would be fun too since the socks didn't really fit but the straps are so small they didn't fit on her ankles at all.

Customer Review: The socks aren't shaped to fit a human foot!
Summary: 1 Stars

My baby never got interested in these; it ended up being a waste of money. He didn't seem to even notice them. Additionally, the socks were very difficult to put on. They were too tight (even when my baby was just an infant and small for his age) and more importantly they are poorly designed. They are just narrow tubes, they aren't shaped like a human foot. After struggling to get them even partway on, they would constantly come off. I'm really surprised at the other positive reviews. I was swayed by them when purchasing this product. It is a nice idea, but didn't pan out for us. Products that I would recommend instead for 2-4 month olds: the "winkel" and the "skwish". Those were the best toys!!!
