Customer Review: Pay a few extra dollars for Thirsties

I tried one of these to see if it might be worth it to supplement my stash of covers. It was a few dollars cheaper and looked cool (i.e., not white).
For quality it gets a 3. The first thing I noticed was that the cover was a lot more flimsy/plasticky feeling than the PUL I'm used to (bummis, motherease, thirsties). Not a deal breaker.
For ease of use this gets five stars. It's roomy and you can either fasten the prefold with a snappi or just lay it inside and the cover is easy to close either way.
For leaks - this gets a 3. I used it approximately 10 times so far (daytime only) and it did leak once despite the gussets.
For staying on - this gets a 2. If the baby moves the wrong way the velcro pulls right off. For an active 8 month old that just won't work.
In all I feel that next time I'll be spending another $2-3 extra per cover to add more Thirsties to my stash rather than trying to save a couple bucks and end up doing more laundry from wet clothes (mine and the baby's).
