I started using these diapers after my baby was a week old. During the first week of use, I've had two blowouts, both of which I attribute to not getting the diaper positioned and tightened correctly. When I first received them, they did seem to be loose, however the longer I use them (and the more I wash them), the better they get.
For best cleaning I presoak the soiled diapers in a pail, otherwise I would have one or two not get completely clean. At medium heat they do take up to an hour to dry, but that's what I would expect when trying to dry anything thick at medium heat.
Overall, I'm finding these diapers excellent alternatives to disposables.

I was really hoping these would work as they are pretty cheap as far as cloth goes. Unfortunately they leak like crazy, little bits seeped out on a lot of my daughter's jammies right off the bat and major leaks as soon as she started having good size bm's, within two weeks or so it was really bad.
So I decided to just use an additional cover and they are HUGE on a little newborn body, and my baby is not that small. I did try the technique that one reviewer specified on how to fit the diaper, which helped but did not stop the leaks. I had an 8 1/2 pound baby and with this diaper and the cover she actually won't fit in most newborn size pajamas! Very disappointed.

I bought the All-in-one diapers and the Classic cloth diapers and if you are going to spend the money on cloth diapers just order these ones! The classic cloth you HAVE to use the plastic pants and then my daughter kept getting irritated/diaper rash. With the all-in-one you don't need to use pants since they are lined already with a plastic-like material, although they can't sit in them for too long. They don't hold as much as disposables. It is nice though, I change her more often and clean up is a breeze. Oh, I recommend getting the rolls of insert though, that aids in clean up. I just spray the soiled diapers with spray and wash, run a presoak and wash.Customer Review: they fell apart during the first washing!

I was set on using cloth diapers for our first baby, and was pleased to find that the highly rated Kooshies were available at Babies 'R Us. I bought two packages of the infant sized all-in-ones, and each one unravelled or frayed during the first washing! Fortunately, I did not have a problem returning them for store credit. I purchased Bumkins all-in-ones at another online store, and have been thoroughly satisfied with them. I recommend to those who choose cloth diapers, to pay the extra $ and get Bumkins which will last. I also have found the Bumkins to be extremely absorbent and have yet to experience leaks during the 8 weeks I've been using them.Customer Review: Very convenient

This is my first time using cloth diapers, but we've been throught the "ringer" with our third child with diapers. We haven't had any problems with the Kushies. My little was 10 lbs. when we started using them, and they've been wonderful and incredibly easy to use. He doesn't leak out of them (unless we wait way too long to change him) and they are sooooooo incredibly easy to use. While the price has kept me from buying enough to use on an every diaper change basis...they are nice to have when going out places or I use them for every other diaper change, just to make life a little easier. I love them and would recommend them to everyone!!
