Baby Products Reviews of Kolcraft Jeep Liberty Limited 3 Wheel All Terrain StrollerCustomer Review: I loved this strolled at first, but now I hate it Summary: 1 Stars
When I was pregnant, I was so excited about using this stroller, however since my son was born it has been nothing short of a headache. The first major problem is that this stroller is extremely heavy! It is not suitable for day-to-day travel when you need to take it out of the car and put it back. I hurt my back shortly after giving birth just trying to lift it, because you can't roll it when it is closed. It barely fits in my trunk! Quickly, I had to run to the store to buy one of those car seat frame strollers, because I needed to be able to do groceries AND fit them in my car. So I reserved the use for this stroller for poor terrain. To be honest I have only used it a few times and within a few months, the front tire broke. The company replaced it quickly for free, but about 2 uses later.... the new tire broke! The lid for the speaker box broke a while ago as well. Other times, I have such a hard time opening and closing it that I get frustrated and give up. It is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to open it up while holding your baby.
I certainly don't recommend it to anyone who lives in an apartment or a small car because it takes up a lot of space! However, it does move through the sand on the beach (fully loaded), which I think may be it's only thing that gives it does better than any other regular stroller, however considering the front tire keeps breaking... you may be able to get away with that once or twice.
Customer Review: our 2nd Jeep Stroller! Summary: 5 Stars
This is our 2nd Jeep Liberty Limited 3-wheel All Terrain Stroller. Our first model lasted over 4 years before I finally broke the wheel - totally my fault - but it was a great stroller, served us well and I needed another strong, reliable, sturdy, functional and FUN stroller for baby boy #2. After a bit of comparison shopping, there was just no other choice but to get another one.
As I assembled this stroller, I was pleasantly surprised with some newly designed parts:
1.) Larger/deeper cup holders for parents and baby - actually fits my sons NUBY sippy cups which are quite bulbous on the bottom.
2.) A new FRONT basket to catch binkies, blankies and toys as they slip off babys lap (its not evident in the photograph, but its there and what a great design - no more rolling over his clean blankets!!
3.) A Longer/Deeper rear basket for all of our stuff! (diaper bag, camera bag, etc)
4.) "Hub caps" to protect the wheel hinges (the part I broke on our first stroller) this one should stay with us until he's in college!
In closing, this new model is great. I don't know of any other stroller with an IPOD attachment, the steering wheel makes it practically effortless to put a child into it (who can resist?) and the price point cannot be matched.
If you can get past the size and weight to appreciate all of its functionality, you and your child will have YEARS Of fun in this stroller.
Customer Review: We love it & it's held up great, but it's bulky when folded Summary: 4 Stars
We've had a slightly different Jeep Liberty stroller (black/red/grey color) for 2 years and really love it. We have used it everywhere - the mall, walks, running and lots of park & off-road use. Our Graco infant carrier rested nicely enough on the front tray/in the seat but since it didn't click on/secure anywhere, I jogged a bit slower until baby was big enough to strap into the reclined seat with some rolled blankets tucked around his sides to keep him snug. Favorite features are the speakers (ours has a place big enough for a Discman CD player but we use w/ MP3 player), the real tires & tire pump (we've used it but note you have to assemble the pump - I was clueless but hubby had it in a jiffy. I just leave it together now), the large storage basket that holds everything (we use it when we walk to the grocery store too!) and our 2 yr old son still loves the steering wheel toy that plays music, engine starting sound, and horn. The downside is it's bulky even when folded. Fits fine in back section of our small SUV (Subaru Forester) but doesn't fit in the trunk of Grandma's Mercury Sable. One other small negative is the seat reclines with a cord fastener, which has to be pulled out to full recline before closing the stroller, but since we never use the seat reclined it has to be adjusted back up each time we unfold it. Overall, we think the pros are much greater than the cons and have been very happy with it!
Customer Review: Wonderful product! Summary: 5 Stars
I am a very busy single mom with no extra time to be writing "reviews" but this stroller was such a great product that I felt it deserved my time. I walk every day for exercise and like to walk on a bumpy "path" so my old traditional stroller was just not cutting it. I have to say this stroller still bounces a bit, but what do you expect while walking on a gravel path but it is a HUGE improvement. I thought the stroller might be a little heavy simply because of it being so sturdy but it is amazingly light - I use half the effort to push it as I did my old stroller (and I had a good stroller) sometimes I think the stroller is pushing itself because I am amazed at how easy it goes. My 1 and 1/2 year old loves the steering wheel and that it can play music - it really helps as he is getting to where he doesn't want to be strapped down into anything! I thought I would still use my old stroller for going shopping etc. but no way - this is the only stroller I take anywhere. The front wheel makes it so much easier to move around stores and get and out of doors. Yes, the stroller is a little bigger/wider but it's still so much easier to push around. It doesn't collapse much but still fits easy into the back of my Honda CRV and is light enough for me to pick up. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this stroller to anyone, I just wish I had got mine sooner. Oh, it was also easy to put together and the price was a real deal!!
Customer Review: Quality stroller/Great price! Summary: 5 Stars
Just purchased this stroller. I received a travel system for my baby shower and I really don't like the stroller that came with it, so I decided to purchase a better one. I did a lot of research and finally decided on this model after seeing it on display in Babies R Us.
It handles really well and rides smoothly. My son is only 4 months old so I have just been using the car seat (which attaches really easily). It can be turned with one hand without difficulty. The front wheel can be fixed in place (although I don't see why) or can be set to swivel(most convenient). Has a large canopy for sun protection that clicks to several different positions, staying where you want it. The storage underneath is HUGE, and has 2 large side pockets for additional use. Cup holders are about average. I haven't used the iBaby system yet, but will soon. The seat is really deep. Looks like it will be comfy.
The price is really reasonable for this stroller. Jusr compare it to the babyjogger or BOB strollers.
It folds pretty easily. I have a Toyota Corolla and it fits in my trunk. It is a little awkward to get it in there, but once in, it fits just fine. No drama. Yes it's a bit bigger and bulkier, but it's worth it to have a sturdy quality stroller that handles well and feels safe.
I hope to get many years out of it.
