Baby Products Reviews of Kidkusion Toddler Edge Kushions, BrownCustomer Review: Not enough tape; you'll need more than 1 pkg. for 1 table Summary: 3 Stars
Product is very thick - perfect to protect the baby. However, KIDKUSION cheated on the tape and length.
TAPE: There isn't enough. They only give you enough to put a piece every 8" or so. After about 10 hours to cure the tape the baby reached for the edge and the cushion separated from the table where there was no tape. The taped spots did hold but what good is it having just 1" every 9" stick to the surface???
> KIDKUSION should have provided enough to run the entire length of the table.
LENGTH: Description says 12 feet long. No way! It did HALF the table - package consists of about 6-7 feet max.
I bought a similar product for the table corners thinking the corners were all I needed to cover. The corners came from Amazon: Safety 1st Corner Edge. Excellent product with much better tape. Unfortunately for me, they did not have the taupe color in the roll so I moved over to KIDKUSION.
If you buy the product it will do what it is designed to do but save yourself the trouble and while waiting for it to arrive, take a trip to Home Depot or Loew's for a roll of pressure sensitive foam tape.
Customer Review: Not enough tape Summary: 3 Stars
This product was not shipped with enough tape. When I first started adhering these Kushions, I placed two continuous strips of tape on the underside of this product, one on each edge and stuck them to my furniture. When I got halfway through, I realized there was not enough tape. So I started cutting up the tape into smaller pieces and placing them about an inch apart. I still ran out of tape and was not able to adhere all of the product. The Kushions that had less tape have now come off my furniture. I found that the areas that have no tape have a little bit of give... so my 10 month old kids can stick their finger under the product and then pull them off. The ones that have the continuous strips of tape are still adhered on my furniture and has on one occasion cushioned my sons head when he fell on the metal base of his high chair.
Customer Review: Not strong and durable enough Summary: 2 Stars
I was lured by the lower price and the fact that I could get more legth for the money. I should have stuck with a more expensive, higher-quality brand. This tape cushion came off very quickly. The sticky tape was almost non-existent and, unlike the Prince Lionheart corners (more expensive) that stayed on perfectly and came with double rows of tape, this one barely gave you enough to tape down one of two sides (top but not bottom).
The baby only need to give it a few tugs, and it no longer stays on. I even tried purchasing a clear tape and readjusting it myself, which also didn't work. In the end, I spent more time and almost as much money as I would, had I bought a more expensive version of this item. If you have a brick fireplace, consider investing in a thicker cushion.
Customer Review: totally worth it Summary: 5 Stars
At first I did not want to spend the money on this, I figured that just some bubble plastic and duct tape would do the work, it does not work. I wiped both, the surface and the protector with alcohol and it sticked perfectly to the chimney heart. You are not supposed to use it there, but we have our chimney closed with a gate and then put a blanket on top of it, the babies loved to go inside it and eat the little stones.
They pull the protector, chew it and poke it, it does not come off. I suggest that you buy the corner protectors, otherwise there will be a little space missing protection and, of course, that is where their head will land whenever they fall.
Customer Review: Good product Summary: 5 Stars
When I ordered this product I could have sworn it said it could be used for fireplace hearths. When I got it the instructions say it can't. Well I had already purchased it and didn't want to mess with returning it and I had nothing else I would need to use it on so I went ahead and tried anyway. I rubbed both surfaces down with rubbing alcohol and let it dry then placed the tape on the product and then went around my fireplace hearth. Making sure to press it down very firmly. It stuck VERY well!! Glad I went ahead and used it instead of returning it!! My hearth is made out of stone, kind of a sand stone type. Definately worth buying!!
