I babysit for my little niece and every time I go over there, I spend half the time fearing she's going to fall and split her forehead open on the fireplace hearth.
Finally we got this outstanding product installed and it is a thing of beauty (well, not in looks, but in function). My anxiety level has fallen sharply now that I know we won't be rushing to the hospital. And really it doesn't look too bad either. Blends in pretty nicely with the brick. So far, she has not figured out how to pull it off, but perhaps that will come with time. Even if she does, even a single day without anxiety makes it well worth the price.
If you've got a small child and a raised hearth with corners, buy and install this product immediately.
