I absolutely love the idea of making swaddling easy for new parents! Even though I am experienced in swaddling with a regular blanket, this one is definitely faster and easier. The velcros are larger and stronger than the competitor's The First Years Swaddler, and the SwaddleMe is designed better.
The only problem we had was... our daughter did not like being swaddled! We tried leaving her arms out [otherwise she'd scream and wiggle until she undoes the velcro], but it didn't work well.
Now that the SwaddleMe comes in two sizes, in fleece, flannel and cotton and a number of colors, I'd say it's worth registering for. If your baby likes being wrapped you can find the SwaddleMe wrap that's right for you and it will make your life a little easier.

I'm not one to write reviews - but felt that I needed to throw in my support for this item.
In December I took a chance and registered for two of these - and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. My husband and I have been using the swaddle wraps from the first day we brought our daughter home from the hospital and cannot say enough good things about them. It makes swaddling incredibly easy - and the velcro tabs are secure enough that our "wiggle worm" (as called by the Labor & Delivery nurses at the hospital) can't wriggle her way out. Our ONLY regret is that we didn't bring them to the hospital with us to use when we were there! We're now looking for a couple more - but in larger sizes and in cotton for the summer months.

I had read the reviews on SwaddleMe and was excited to buy one for my granddaughter Allison, who was born Nov of 2008. It was going to be a Christmas present! Christmas eve Allison was fussy so I talked her parents into opening up the SwaddleMe and they tried it on her that night. Allison's mom had to wake her up on Christmas day! So it was actually two gifts in one. First, a full night's sleep for her parents and secondly, a secure good night's sleep for Allison! They love this item and even pack it with them to daycare. As a grandmother, I highly recommend this item as being on the top of the list for all new parents as well as the child. We have been swaddling our 8 week old since she came home from the hospital. We tried the Swaddle Me, but I guess she was too small (7 lbs.) We were using the Miracle Blanket which we loved. However, as she got stronger, she was able to kick and squirm her way out. I got worried about her safety with a loose blanket in the crib, but she really liked being swaddled. I took out the Swaddle Me that I received at a shower and decided to try it again. It worked like a champ, and she is sleeping 7 hours at night now!! I stretch it so that it's as tight as possible. I bought another one, and the velcro for the feet is bigger - even better to hold it down. We LOVE it and highly recommend!!Customer Review: Swaddling works wonders

My daughter has been swaddled since the first day she was born. She's now 10 and half months old, and still loves to be swaddled for bed. This swaddle is great. Swaddling helps babies feel comfortable like they are in the womb again. The SwaddleMe product is so much easier than having to swaddle her the old fashioned way with blankets, which we had to do before we got this swaddling product. We have NEVER had to get up in the middle of the night to feed her or because she wakes up. Once we put her to bed she sleeps until we get her out of bed the next morning. SwaddleMe really does make a difference. I am getting one for my friend who's pregnant.
