Customer Review: A definate "must have!"

I saw this blanket when I was pregnant with my second child. At first I was reluctant to buy it. I thought it was just another "money-making" item that wasn't necessary. It's not!! It really works! I got this blanket when my daughter was about 3.5 weeks old. She had been having trouble getting back to sleep during night feedings and we were all miserable with no sleep! She loves to be swaddled in this blanket and now falls asleep easily after feedings and we are all much happier!
I also love the fact that it can be used in her infant car seat as well! She's still too small for all the buntings we have for her. The swaddle blanket keeps her nice and snug in her car seat! I don't worry about her being cold in the seat or at night when she's SLEEPING!

Our little boy falls asleep much more quickly and sleeps a TON more soundly when he is swaddled. We have found the fleece version to be more secure than the cotton ones, but a little too hot during the summer months.
Pros of the Kiddopotamus:
-much quicker than blankets
-more secure than any blanket we've tried (the best blanket we found, if you're interested, was the stretchy thermal Gerber one)
-held our little man's arms tight for the first 6 to 8 weeks
Cons:
-our little guy is a little older he is able to get his hands up by his face. We thought this might be a good thing, as he likes to suck on his fingers, but we've found that when we reswaddle him with his arms by his sides he falls asleep quickly.
Customer Review: Can't Imagine Life without a Swaddle Me

I gave birth to the Great Houdini a little over a month ago. She can get out of even the best swaddle job (but actually loves being swaddled...go figure...can't sleep much at all any other way unless of course she's being held). These Swaddle Me blankets are GREAT. When very determined, she can even free a hand, but it's rare.
If you need the greatest restraints possible, the fleece is less strechy and better keeps them from waving their arms and waking themselves up.
I also like the fact that the legs aren't needlessly restrained to the extent of the arms. I was recently told by a doctor that restraining the legs fully streched in such a manner sometimes lead to hip discolation. I don't know how common this is, but worth mentioning.

We tried everything, we swaddled with regular blankets, 2 blankets sewn together, special large "swaddling blanket", the miracle blanket, everything, but really the best and most used item for my baby is the swaddle me....
It is just so easy to do and stays together so baby can't break out too easily... The miracle blanket also works well, but is way more expensive and also much harder to do, so after those middle of the night feedings, by the time you get baby swaddled he is wide awake from being jostled around so much. The velcro on the swaddle me is so easy. I like the fleece better because it is not stretchy, the cotton one is a stretchy material so be aware of that. I have 4 that I rotate through for night and naps....

We love the "swaddle me" blanket. I read so much about swaddling and how it is supposed to calm your baby, but I could never get my "swaddles" to stay. Our 5-week old son would always wiggle out of our "baby burritos", so we eventually gave up on tryng them, even with the blankets we took home from the hospital. Then, I saw the Swaddle Me and decided to give it a try.
The first night, he slept for over 7 hous straight! I had to run to his room every so often to make sure he was ok because I didn't hear a peep out of him. Since then, he's been sleeping through the night almost every night. This product is well worth the money -- I plan on buying one for some friends that are expecting this year!
