Baby Products Reviews of Kiddopotamus SwaddleMe Microfleece, Small, BlueCustomer Review: Practically foolproof! Summary: 5 Stars
My son was a restless sleeper, waking up at the slightest twitch of his arms. The swaddler definitely controlled that aspect. He's learned to soothe himself to sleep now, and we only use the swaddler for naps (we use a sleep sock for night time). As a previous poster said, I do wish they had a more secure way of fastening it in the middle instead of the small velcro strip. Other than that, it was a lifesaver for a nervous first-time mother!
Customer Review: First 2 weeks Summary: 3 Stars
The SwaddleMe came in handy for my son's first 2 weeks at home. It was easy to swaddle and adjust him in it. Changing his diaper was difficult at first (I didn't want to get it dirty.) It was easier to take him out of it. The SwaddleMe did keep him nice and cozy. Unfortunately, he liked his freedom and that was the end of swaddling. For what it's worth, I'd swaddle with the receiving blankets (you'll have plenty of those on hand.)
Customer Review: Baby Straight Jacket! I LOVE IT Summary: 4 Stars
This is great. The only thing I dont like is that I dont like it up by their neck and worry about strangling so when I bring it down on the shoulders, although it is contoured, it doesnt always sit "right" .... all baby's are not contoured the same.
Michael loves to be swaddled and this does the trick. I bought 2 of them and we use each one 3 days in a row over PJs and then launder.
Customer Review: Great for infant...not for small newborn Summary: 5 Stars
Our son weighed 6 lbs when he came home from the hospital, and the SwaddleMe was simply too big for him then - he easily wriggled out of it. Now he weighs approximately 9 lbs and it wraps around him snugly - with great results! He sleeps soundly and no longer startles himself awake every 20 minutes.
EDIT: We ended up buying a Miracle Blanket, which fit him snugly no matter what size he was.
Customer Review: Temporary Summary: 4 Stars
Unless your baby is a die-hard swaddler, this blanket is a temporary fix. Sure it's very useful to have the velcro tabs but my baby didn't care for the swaddling much after about 4 weeks old, so the convenience was short-lived. If they are too wiggly, then they probably don't want to be swaddled any more. Although I rated it at 4 stars, for the convenience, I'd give it a 1 for practicality.
