Our son, now 3 mo's old, is a great sleeper when he's swaddled in this thing. Without it he thrashes his arms and legs and startles himself awake. With it he settles down and sleeps like a champ. We've been using it since he was a newborn. The little square of velcro doesn't hold the bottom part on well at all, but it's winter so we dress him in sleeper jammies underneath the Swaddleme anyway so it's not a big issue. When we came home from the hospital at first we tried swaddling using receiving blankets but our son wiggled right out. We're huge fans of the SwaddleMe and now give it as our standard baby shower gift.Customer Review: Great Swaddling Aid

This has been a very helpful product for us. For the first eight weeks after our daughter was born we swaddled her in a receiving blanket and then placed her like a little burrito into this swaddle sack. This "double swaddling" technique was the only way to keep her swaddled- if we used only the receiving blanket, or only the sack, she would wriggle out, but both together was perfect! Now that she is older and not so wriggly we just use this swaddle sack. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the velcro areas should be larger to accomodate different sized babies.Customer Review: Fabulous Product!

These things are indispensable for moms of new babies. They come in quite a few colors and fabrics, so you can get ones that are appropriate for any season. We had about 6 that we used for my son up until his 8 month birthday or so when he decided he didn't want to be swaddled while sleeping and graduated to regular blankets. They wash & wear very well and are especially great for parents (like us) who never quite mastered the art of forming a 'baby burrito' with a regular blanket. I bought 2 of these for a friend with a new baby and highly recommend them!Customer Review: Not the tightest swaddler

I know some people who like this swaddler a lot, however my experience was better with the Miracle Blanket (It is pricey but worth the extra hours of sleep you will get).
Oddly enough it is kinda hard to figure out the first time you use it. The velcro (the part that you stick the tab to) is hard to see on the fabric and you are limited to how big that area is as far as how tight you can make it.
The small is probably the right size for most babies. Once ours hit about 12 lbs and 25 inches she was too big for it.

I cannot recommend this product enough. Both of my daughters were fussy and required swaddling to sleep well. With my first, it often took two blankets to contain her flailing arms (thankfully she was born in the winter!). With my 6 week old, I tried this and it worked GREAT -- it kept her snug even though it wasn't as tight as I had needed to wrap the receiving blankets to get the same effect. The first night we used it, she slept 8 HOURS straight, and woke up happy as a clam. Why didn't they think of this sooner??
