My husband has a knack that I don't for swaddling the baby. I'm always afraid that I'm doing it too tight. So this little wrap works good for me. It is a soft pink with two little bear faces, which are velcro and attach to the side of the blanket. It's very simple to use, and the baby enjoys being wrapped up in it. She manages to wriggle her hands out but just a little. And she always settles down when she's swaddled in it.
It washes well. I washed it before our first use.
The only downside is the price. True, it's really not expensive, but if you like to frequently swaddle your baby and are not particularly fond of laundry, you will want plenty of receiving blankets around to do the job when this gets dirty.
Good item for the registry, also a good gift idea. Nice that it comes in a mint green color, too, for mom's who don't know their baby's gender.

I originally hated this blanket. Our daughter hated it and it didn't fit well. I changed my mind! First of all, I suggest that you make sure you purchase the right size for your baby. They used to come in one size only when we first got ours. Now they come in three sizes. Our daughter HATED being swaddled, but we used it anyways. Now she sleeps like a dream. She can get out of it during the night, but what matters is when she is falling asleep. She used to wake herself up when her muscles would contract while relaxing. Now this thing holds her still and she doesn't jolt herself awake. She falls asleep faster and stays asleep. We bought the pink one and fondly call it the "straight jacket of love". I will be buying these for everyone that has a baby from now on. It is a must have!Customer Review: Colicky baby? This is for you!

I was given this as a gift & left it in the package for some time. As a new mommy, I thought sleepless nights were part of it, until I visited my family when she's 3 months old. I finally tried this & wish I had much sooner! My daughter HATED being put into this (it's a little tricky @ first), but would quickly nod off to sleep after she was in it. We didn't like putting her in it either, it was a last resort, b/c it felt like we were torchering her b/c we had to make it tight enough. We & she couldn't have slept w/out it on MANY nights!!! You MUST use the velcro, as it's shown. Figure it out b/c it's the only thing what will keep your baby in tight, if he/she is fidgety & strong!Customer Review: A must have for newborns!

We bought this prior to the birth of our son and brought it with us to the hospital for his birth. He developed pneumonia the morning after his birth and was sent to the NICU for a week. This blanket was so wonderful to have. He was hooked up to many tubes and needles, etc. and this blanket kept him from flailing his arms around and pulling something out.
Once we brought him home, we wrapped him in this blanket every night and it stayed put. It never came undone or loose. It kept him warm all night.
When we have our next baby we plan to buy a few more- one was not enough! When we had to wash it we hated to be without it.

My baby is 2 weeks old and the Swaddle Me blanket has quickly become one of her favorite snuggle items. We've put her to bed wearing this blanket several nights in a row this week and since we've started doing it, she is sleeping 4-5 hours a night already! If she is fussy, we wrap her in this blanket during the day and she calms right down. It's really soft and gets softer with each washing. I was initially worried about the velcro tabs coming un-done as she squirms in her sleep but this has not happened--this is a must have for any new parents and baby! I highly recommend buying or registering for 2-3 of these!
