Baby Products Reviews of Kiddopotamus SwaddleMe 100% Cotton Knit, Small, Sage

Customer Review: Not Worth It
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this b/c my son is not able to sleep unswaddled and he gets tangled up in regular swaddling blankets (scary!). Unfortunately, it was a waste of money. The blanket is not designed to swaddle tightly (which is the point) and my son is 9 lbs, 7 oz (clearly within the 7 - 14 lb range). He got his arms loose and they flailed inside the blanket even after I stitched on additional velcro to make the swaddling tighter. Unless your child doesn't wiggle at all, don't bother with this blanket.

Customer Review: Works great!
Summary: 5 Stars

These blankets are great! They keep my son swaddled and happy - we have tried so many blankets and swaddlers and this is one of the only kinds out of which he can't wiggle. The cotton fabric is nice and stretchy, and it's much cheaper than the Halo Sleepsack swaddler. The small size was perfect from birth until 2 months (11 pounds), after which we upgraded to the larger size. You do want to be careful and not overdress your baby if using one of these since my baby gets pretty warm in it.

Customer Review: AWESOME for the swaddling impaired
Summary: 5 Stars

Hubby and I could just never quite get the swaddle-in-a-blanket thing figured out. No matter how snug we'd do it, our son always managed to wiggle both of his hands and arms free. This product made swaddling 10x easier, and was 100x more effective than our own efforts! Makes life MUCH easier on us both.

We found the cotton ones were more snug (and stayed swaddled) better than the fleece. Regardless, DEFINITELY worth the $$. I suggest buying at least 2-3 to have on hand.

Customer Review: Easy to Use, but not a proper swaddle
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this and used it for a couple weeks. It was warm and cozy for my daughter. She was a very collicky baby, and I learned from "Happiest Baby on the Block" a proper swaddle keeps a baby's arms at his/her side. My daughter's arms could go anywhere no matter how tight I velcroed the Swaddleme. I learned how to properly swaddle a baby from the book mentioned above using stretchy receiving blankets and secured them with a diaper pin. My daughter slept much better that way.

Customer Review: Inferior Product
Summary: 1 Stars

The product failed in every respect - the velcro stopped sticking within a week (we bought three and had to throw each one away after a week of use because they no longer functioned). In addition, the non-microfleece version stretched, which means your baby can wrangle out of the swaddle - rendering it ineffective at best. They need to take this product off the shelves and rethink its design and the quality of materials used in its construction - very dissappointing,
