Our baby is wiggly and we had to wrap this very snugly. In the middle of the night, though, she would sometimes wake up scared because it was so tight. When we wrapped it more loosely, she quickly wiggled her arms out and would wake herself when her arms flailed about. Like another reviewer experienced, a couple times our baby awoke with the swaddle me bunched up tightly around her neck. That was the last straw. Our baby was 8-12 pounds when we tried it. I bought this for my new grandson. My daughter liked it very much. It is light weight which was important because he was born in July. It's very easy to use and he settled right down when wrapped up in it. Also he was a very big newborn (10 1/2 lbs) and very active, so it helped him to sleep by keeping his arms and legs from flailing around which wakes up newborns. He easily kicked out of being wrapped in a baby blanket in the usual swaddling style.Customer Review: Spend more and have it last longer

I bought several of these for my daughter. First, she was too small, so I swaddled her using a traditional blanket. Then, they fit, but the fabric would stretch out during the night and she'd get her arms up and wake herself up. Finally we spent the extra money for an Amazing Miracle Blanket. It is AMAZING and worth every penny--instead of buying several of these, buy ONE Amazing Miracle Blanket and test it out. You'll see that I am right!Customer Review: Dangerous?

I really liked the Swaddleme fleece swaddle that was given to us when our son was born. As the weather turned warmer and the boy grew, I decided to try this cotton one. I'm not happy at all with it. It stretches too much and doesn't keep him swaddled for long. This morning I woke to his crying only to discover he'd worked the entire thing up his body and wrapped it snugly around his neck. I got this for a friend's baby because my son loved his so much. Some babies only like to be swaddled as newborns-- mine was swaddled til he was 8 months old! He wouldn't sleep any other way. And it kept him from scratching his face too. It kept him much snugger than swaddling with a blanket. For us, this was an absolute must-have. If your baby is having trouble sleeping, or fusses a lot, try this swaddler!
