I just received this a few weeks ago. I have a 6 week old. It's compact and fits perfectly into a diaper bag of any size. It appears to be good quality. If you want a giant pad, it's not for you, but I agree with another reviewer, you just need it to fit from the baby's head to past her but. My baby still fits it from head to toe now, so it's going to last me a while. I would recommend it.Customer Review: Excellent basic baby change mat

What more do you want: need a changing mat?? Get this- it folds into 1/3s and can also be folded in half, making storage in small travel bags excellent. Lite weight and easy to clean, the mat is your best friend when going to foriegn places that you just dont know the last baby to be changed in that location. This is a GREAT pad. Sure, it's a little small lengthwise once your baby gets bigger than like 6 months. But usually, all I need is enough room for her head down to her bum, and then her legs go in the air anyway as I change her. It folds up small and closes easy with velcro. Easy to use with one hand. There is no reason to buy the more expensive ones with this out there!
