Customer Review: Misleading sizing otherwise great!

I love this style of sleeper but my son had already grown out of the Carters 'One Size' (0-9 month old) at 4 months old. The sizing on these say Large, 6 to 15 months, 16 to 24 pounds, 7.26 to 10.89kg, 26" to 31" length. My son is big for his age (95th percentile), at 16lbs 15oz and 26 3/4" long, which is well within the sizing parameters - but this thing is HUGE. I was worried about it coming up over his nose/mouth because the neck opening is much bigger than his head, and there is a tag inside that says using one that's too big may cause SIDS.
UPDATE 2 months later: My son is 6 months old now, almost 30" long and 20 pounds. We can use the sleeper now, though it is still really big on him. It is very warm and will definitely fit him for several more months.

I first bought 2 of these for my 4 3/4 month old.Loved them right away!Very soft!I got them in large and they fit her well with plenty room to grow!Not too big.I also like them because they're made thicker than most so they're warmer!I still have to role the sleeves back a bit but that's fine!There roomy and the other thing I really liked about them was that they made a soft flap thing that goes over the top of the zipper.Loved that!Great quality!Perfectly roomy around the neck!I just recently bought another one in the same size!I just wish they had "Mod",designs available.Super investment!!!Customer Review: Great sleepsack - just BIG

This is a great sleepsack. However, like other shoppers have mentioned, the sizing is EXTREMELY large. My son is 21 lbs and almost 30 inches, so I bought a large. It is very big on him and will likely fit for another 6-12 months. There are no problems with it being overly loose around the neck and it is still certainly safe. I would absolutely buy more, as they are really soft, warm and comfy, without being overly heavy. My son will just be able to wear it a bit longer than I anticipated.Customer Review: perfect

My 16 month old outgrew her smaller sleep sack but still seemed to like sleeping in it. This is a perfect size for her (she is on the small side about 19 lbs but tall). The material is super soft and cozy and I like the flap over the zipper to stop her bothering her. its warm without being too heavy. I am planning on getting the same one in the XL size for her when she outgrows this one!Customer Review: Wonderful and warm!

Other reviewers have complained of the size.. that's why I love this item. It's one of the few long sleeve sleepers that is soft, durable and FITS well once the 0-9 month generic sleepers are too small. The neck is a bit large, but our son has never had issues with it covering his face no matter how much he moves or what odd position he sleeps in at night.
