Customer Review: a great travel sleeping option for infants & toddlers

we bought this when our son turned 1 and started climbing out of his pack n play. we needed a travel sleeping option for him. this worked great from 1-2 until he learned to unzip it. then we moved to the ABO Gear Tot Insta Tent which we were able to clip off the zippers and also the tent is taller. What i like about the pea pod is it has an air mattress (though, after about 8 months and a fair amount of use, it got a hole in it and even with a repair patch, it still deflates over the course of a few hours) and is cozy. it works well for us b/c our son was on the small side (he could sit up in it but definitely could not stand). i anticipate we will use this with our next child early on as it is much lighter and easier to pack than a pack n play! only downside is checking on the baby/toddler isn't as easy as in a pack n play.Customer Review: Wonderful until it gets out of shape

This product is great, until it gets out of shape. Then extreme frustration sets in. When it gets out of shape - the plastic covered metal hoops get out of their original shape - it is much more difficult to fold up. The KidCo customer service rep was helpful and said to try and "untwist it" because it seemed like one of the hoops was twisted causing one side of the tent to sag. He said if I could not get it back into its original form, to send it to them and they would try to correct the problem. Then, if they could not get it back to its original form they would send me a new one. Great, but that is a lot of hassle for something that we've had for a month and used on one trip. It seems that others have discovered that it does not retain its original form very well and once out of shape, becomes a gremlin.

I bought this because we travel a lot and many hotels don't have cribs. Also, I'm a bit phobic about germs especially when it comes to my kids. Pack and Plays are so heavy. This bed is very portable and easy to use, it just pops open. My 2 yr. old loves it. I don't always use the air mattress if its on a carpet but I do on hard surfaces. I also use it for my baby, he naps in it when we are outdoors. It keeps the bugs out and has loops to stake it in the ground. We go to resorts with the kids in the winter and the beds are all so high and the floors are tile. I don't want my little ones to fall out of bed so I put them in one of these on the floor. They are safe, comfortable and it keeps the bugs away from them. This is great for travel but also great just to take to Grandma's house or an outdoor picnic.Customer Review: Great price/great product

We were looking for a travel bed that we could take with us for a two week trip to Ireland. Our son is 2.5 years old and we wanted to give him something he could have as his own/the same wherever we were. This product is lightweight, compact, and offer plenty of room (or only concern is that it may not fit in some of the small B and B rooms along with our bed...). We have left it out and our son loves to play in it. We took it for a weekend trip and he went right down in it too - since it closes up, we can even be in the room with the lights on low and it doesn't bother him. It takes a bit of practice to get it to fold, but I didn't think it was too hard and super fast and easy when you get it down. So far - seems like a great investment - both as a travel bed system and fun personal tent!Customer Review: Great product but not for my son

The product is great, very easy to handle and is perfect when you go hiking or to the beach or to the park. The only problem is that my son does not like to be inside or under anything. So I can never make him sleep or even sit inside the travel bed for more than 5 min. I think he is just a different boy with a different personality. One more thing, my son is one year old and is a very tall boy for his age(33 inches) and I was glad to see the size of portable bed because he does not fit in most of the portable beds we got earlier. I may not be using this product for my son but keeping it and hoping my next baby will like it because it certainly is very light weight, portable bed, looks very comfy and cozy that most of the kids would like.
