Customer Review: Perfect for frequent travellers
Summary: 5 Stars

If you travel a lot, like us, this is a great product. I was tired of feeling like we needed a u-haul everytime we travelled anywhere because of all of the gear we had, so this allows us to eliminate the pack-n-play as another piece of luggage. Because this is so soft and squishy, it fits great into one of suitcases. It folds up SO easily- just follow the directions. I recommend letting your child get used to it by letting him play in it or explore inside a few days before your trip. Our son was 9 months old when we first used it. I actually crawled inside with him to show him that it was something fun and he loved that. Make sure to introduce him to the sound that the zipper makes if your child gets startled easily (like mine). We just sat in front of it and made the zipper go up and down for a few minutes so the noise became totally normal to him. Its not a terribly loud noise, its just "different" than what they are used to. It took a couple of days for him to adjust to it for his naps and bedtime, but when it came time to leave on our trip, he was in love. In fact, I think he slept better in the peapod than his own crib. Crazy. So yes, we really love this thing and are very thankful for how efficient it is for traveling light.

Oh, and we were thankful we went with the "plus" so that it can be used as he grows older.

Customer Review: This Bed is the BOMB!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

We purchased this bed on a whim in preparation for a seven week trip to several states and many stops. We were very concerned about our 2.5 year old. He is out of crib at home, really too big for a pack and play, and has a tendency to wander at night out of his big boy bed.

The tent bed has been sooooo great. We introduced it to him long before we went away. We showed him pictures and said, "Oh ______, are you going to sleep in the red tent bed?" He pretty willingly got in the first night and has been happy ever since. A little reticent at first, but now, several weeks in, he is a pro. A few nights, when he has been tired, he has climbed in himself.

I was afraid that the blow up mattress would be cheesy, but has proven to be most sturdy. The pump is a little hokey; I found blowing it up by mouth much easier. But the truth is, most nights we didn't deflate the mattress, we just tossed it into the back of the suv, and we were off. For the plane, it packed nice and small. We carried it on board, and gate checked it along with the stroller and car booster seat.

The spring loaded frame is very VERY easy to pack up. This was a great purchase. It has given our little one his own little personal space that we have brought from place to place and has made our travels very easy.

Customer Review: An amazing travel bed!

We purchased this travel bed for our youngest son (18 months) for a Memorial Day weekend visit to see family. We had previously used a pack and play with little success because it was too small and our son felt like he was trapped in a pen. We were looking for an aerobed for him until we saw the PeaPod. We liked the idea that the PeaPod would keep him in roughly one place, but was soft-sided and open. It also looked like it would be fun to sleep in, which would be better for him and us. It was fairly easy to set up, although a little more instruction might have been beneficial because we put the inflatable sleeping pad in the wrong place. But then it was late and we had had too long a drive to our destination. Our son slept solidly using is bed, which was the real dividend for us. He had tons of room in the PeaPod, so his rolling around when he slept did not result in him waking up. The next day, when it was time for his nap, he went right towards the PeaPod without any fussing. With a little help from Dad, he crawled inside the PeaPod and took his nap. Truly remarkable! The real test will come later this summer when we're on vacation for two weeks. However, we're confident that we'll be alright given the success we had during this long weekend visit.

Customer Review: THE GREATEST INVENTION
Summary: 5 Stars

We have a 15 month old, who would only sleep in his crib. We have a couple big trips planned, and then we are moving out of the country. We needed to figure out a place for him to sleep (his play-pen was much too inconvenient). We were hesitant, but we ordered this travel bed. It has worked wonders! Since then, we sold our house, and moved to my in-laws till we leave the country. It used to be impossible for him to sleep here, but when we close the flaps, he is in his own little space where he feels safe.
The great thing is, that no matter where we go, when we put him in there he will know exactly where he is, and can relax.
One last thing: about the set-up, it is SO easy. SERIOUSLY! I read the reviews so I was a little scared. So when I opened the box I made sure to set the instructions next to me, and decided I should practice a couple times before we took it somewhere (I'm glad I did). Right when I took off the elastic the tent just pops up by itself, so that's easy enough. Then, to take it down is a little tricky the FIRST time, but once you get it it's the easiest thing. Just use the instructions the first time.
I cannot think of a better solution for our travel problems! Plus, my husband thinks I'm a genius for finding this. ;)

Customer Review: Great for Travelling. LOVE IT!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 9 month old son HATES the pack n play. Took him to Fort Worth, TX for a week and he cried miserably every night and all his naps.

My hubby and I was dreading the next trip to Seattle, so I went online and found the Kidco Peapod Plus. From the previous reviewers, I went ahead and bought the Peapod Plus. So cute! It came with a sleeping bag, air mattress and a tent. I was able to use the crib sheet to put over the air mattress! I had to air it out for a few days before the trip (to get rid of the plastic smell) and place him in there to get familiar with it.

The first day in Seattle, he cried HARD for his first nap in the tent and then slept for an hour. He also cried HARD for an hour for his night time sleep then he slept thru the night (from 5:30pm-6:30am)! For the rest of the week, he fussed for a few minutes and slept really well on his naps and thru the night. It was just like he was sleeping in his crib back at home.

So, if your baby hates the pack n play, try this. You can adjust how "firm" you want the mattress to be. The peapod was also easy to put up and pack up. I also didn't use the air pump and just blew it myself, no problem. It is light and fits conveniently in his duffle luggage. LOVE THIS PRODUCT
