We purchased this gate for the odd shaped opening in our living room. We tried the wood "wide space" gate and thought it was cheaply made. We returned it and bought this gate even though it was quite a bit more expensive. We do not regret our decision. This gate is very sturdy when installed properly. The area available to walk through after the gate is opened is a good size for an average person, but I do see that if a person had wide hips, you would have to turn sideways to get through it. We are very pleased and definitely recommend this gate over the other version we tried.Customer Review: Awesome Gate!

I love this gate. We live in a town house, and the wall next to our staircase doesn't have any studs in it, and the stairs would move from a pressured gate. The front door is also located in front of the stairs, so we wanted a gate that would block access to the stairs, and also block the front door so I wouldn't have to worry about my son getting in front of the door incase daddy walked in. It is very sturdy and strong. It is much stronger when you have the gate curved rather then straight. I would highly recommend this gate for anyone stuck in a fickle with dimensions.Customer Review: finally something wide enough!

We love this gate! It took long enough to find one to fit the 67" opening at the top of our staircase. And we love how it's not straight across, but has a little bit of a bay area to keep it more stable and to give us enough space to step up to the top step before we squeeze the latch open and close. And you can add extensions to make it bigger, if you want! This is our second child so we've been through 4 baby gates, 3 of which broke and all were tension placed. This one screws in to the walls and in our case the banister. Very secure, perfect. Highly recommend.Customer Review: Awesome gate

We have used this gate since our oldest started moving around. Now 3 years and another child later it is still functioning great! It still looks and works as well as on day 1.
We picked this for the top of our stairs so we could have a "landing" at the top. We did not like other gates where you have to balance on the top stair, with a baby in your arms, to open or close the gate.
It is easy to open, but not for little ones. My 3.5 year old still cannot open this on his own.
I would buy this same gate in a heartbeat.

We bought the PlayDen which includes the Configure Gate and 5 other panels so we could cordon off one corner portion of our room. We found the panels to be very sturdy, attractive, and stayed up well without having to bolt/attach the end panels to the wall. My wife could lay down in the sleep area with our child without having to lift him in and out, sort of like a full-size crib. He would crawl in himself when sleepy and crawl out when awake. The gate is easy on the hands to open and locks firmly. Definitely worth the $150 we paid for it!
