We purchased this when our daughter was beginning to toilet train and were very happy with it. It folds fairly small, so it's easy to keep in the car, as well as to throw in a diaper bag, backpack, or purse. It's handy to have it with us wherever we go--she's used it along the side of the road, while traipsing through Central Park, at the beach, and more. Definitely would recommend this to anyone with little ones.
Minor caveats:
Be sure the legs are snapped into place before the child sits on it. Also, while it's perfect for preschoolers, older/larger children may not be able to position easily on it.

Went to a lecture on potty training, & the instructor said she would never be without this. I ordered 3-for me & each of my daughter-in-laws. Our 3 1/2 yr. old grandson "tried it out" to see how it worked. It certainly serves the purpose. It's portable. Just keep a travel size "Lysol" spray in the bag with it, to sanitize it after each use, between thorough cleanings. We are keeping ours in our van for emergencies. Instructor said the inserts are expensive, so use any plastic bags that will fit and can put papertowel in the bottom of the plastic bag for absorption....more economical. At first this potty was not so friendly for me and my daughter, it took us some time until we finally felt comfortable using, but once we hit that stage it is one of the most useful things I have bought in quite a while. My daughter is practically recently trained and we had to go on a trip out of the country, I was a little worried on how we would handle the situation during the trip, but with this portable potty it was so easy, we even used it in the airplane. The potty does have a pretty small seat, but it's big enough for my daughter to sit on and is very sturdy when the legs are clicked in properly. The small size makes it great for carrying around with you. It does sit a little low to the ground, so I usually sit it up on something so it feels more like a real potty (and as always, I supervise her while she's on it). We used it on a camping trip and have had to use it on a car trip as well. She used it with no problems.Customer Review: Excellent item

What more could a mom ask far than a child's own potty on the go. I don't have to worry about my child using those stalls at the supermarkets and its also nice to have at parks and festivals so your darling child doesn't have to use a nasty Johnny-on-the-spot. It comes with this little bag I carry it in inside of the diaper bag. My daughter loves her own potty. I have no problems with this item at all and will be buying more in the future for my next 2 kids.
