Baby Products Reviews of Kaboost Portable Chair Booster, ChocolateCustomer Review: Wonderful - Needs more height difference though Summary: 4 Stars
I spotted this and could NOT resist! I have a toddler who is very tall, but definitely not ready to sit at the table without something and is too big for her current booster (no longer on amazon so I cant cross reference it). It worked perfectly for a couple of months, but she is growing so fast that now, even on the lower height, her thighs bump the table skirt (wood edge under the table that runs between the table legs for support/decoration).
If this had a slightly lower "Low" level, it would work much better and for a bit longer. We're on the last couple months of use.
I wish I had known about these before, it would have been WONDERFUL to have about 6-8 months ago at least.
Customer Review: Great Product! Summary: 5 Stars
I love this item! I was looking for a simple solution for my almost 2 year old because she wasnt wanting to sit in her high chair anymore and kept wanting to sit at the big table with my husband and I. This enabled us to simply lift the chair and allowing her to sit normally at the table rather than deal with a booster. She loves it and is always wanting to sit in it to eat! Its very sturdy and I havent had any problems with it. I love how it adjust for as she gets taller, I simply flip it out and it shortens it a little.
I was a little disappointed because I thought a carrying bag was coming with it from the pictures but no big deal ,I didnt read the info very thoroughly!
Its great though!
Customer Review: It's not the product, it's the child Summary: 4 Stars
As the mother of a 2 year old who does NOT want to be confined in a highchair anymore, I had high hopes that this product would be a solution to her having to sit on her little knees at the kitchen table. Unfortunately, although it DOES "boost" her up to the needed height and it IS extremely sturdy, alas she cannot climb up onto or get down from the chair without assistance, which does not work for an independent toddler such as herself. Therefore, although this product still resides beneath said chair, and the other members of our family are enjoying it's presence, my littlest for whom it was intended will just have to wait until she's dextrous enough to be able to scale it LOL
Customer Review: Good for toddlers who refuse to sit in their high chair Summary: 5 Stars
I was super skeptical about this thingie, but I am happy to report that it works well for us!
My son refused to sit in his high chair for a few months now and I am so glad I finally found some solution that works for him. I found it to be stable (surprisingly) and the look is pretty decent (I got it in neutral).
Now, if you child is fine seating in a high chair - don't switch him to a regular chair. High chair is much safer, has side protection, safety belts etc. I would not use it for kids younger than 2-2.5 since if you fall from this height, it's going to be worse than falling from a regular chair.
Customer Review: Fabulous Transition to Big Chair Summary: 5 Stars
My 3.5 year old has had a Kaboost for a year, and my 2 year old daughter got hers a couple of months ago. They can sit right at the table with no highchair, making them feel 'big'. You will need to teach them about not wiggling, which is a tendency, because they are 'free' to move. In the beginning, they may need help getting on and off the chair, but give them time to figure it out on their own.
This is a good transition to a big chair. The springs are strong, so you may need a 'third hand' installing it on your chair. You CANNOT use this on folding chairs - it will snap the chair closed.
