Customer Review: Hang up your snowsuits!

This is one of my favorite things for baby. I have it installed in my Graco MetroLite Marta print car seat and it matches so nice. But that is not why I love it so much. I see other poor women who do not have this and their kid looks like Ralphie's younger brother in A Christmas Story. They are shoved into a snow suit with arms straight out and they can't move.
This item makes life so easy. I just put my baby girl in here, zip her up and off we go. No coat, no snowsuit, just what she is wearing. She looks so snug. And if it is snowing, then I just flip the fabric over her head until we get to the car and she is safe from the elements. This is truly a must have.
I am really having trouble figuring how this would be a safety hazard...installed correctly, the kid is very well secured to the seat. hmmmmmm......

This bundle me is so convenient. I had my baby boy in October and have used this ever since. Not having to bundle him up in a snow suit is great when I'm always rushing. I recommend this item for anyone who has an infant and is not wanting to get their child into a snowsuit/outfit.
The responses I've gotten out in public about it make me even happier that we got it. All the mothers who have older children say "where was that when my children were babies?".
Another great convenience is being able to unzip it while in the car or at a restaurant. That way my son is never too hot and sweaty when we're out doing errands. I've seen that they make this product for larger children for in their stollers too and I'm planning to get that one also.
THIS PRODUCT IS A MUST HAVE FOR ALL WINTER BABIES!!!
Customer Review: Returned it -- Safety Concerns

We received this as a shower gift, but returned it. We'd already taken it off our registery after being told that our hospital (Mass General) will not allow you to leave the hospital with a BundleMe in the carseat (or any other carseat accessory, honestly). A well-meaning friend gave us one anyway, she couldn't believe we'd "missed" putting it on there.
I can't see using something that my healthcare provider (and local police station) deems less-than-safe. You'll see a lot of one-star reviews due to this same issue ... and oddly, a lot of, "Oh yeah, well, what do a bunch of nurses and safety "experts" know -- this has been crash tested!" That's fine if that makes you feel better, but knowing that it's not recommended by the place I choose to bring my baby into this world ... yeah. That's good enough for me.

I just want everyone who has read the reviews that the "Bundle me" is not safe, that those statements are totally FALSE. It made me very nervous so I did research on my own and this is what I found out "In tests performed at an independent testing lab recommended by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Bundle Me had little to no effect on the performance of the car seat in a crash and met Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213 requirements (car seat performance in crash tests)." I just wanted to let every concerned mother out there know that it is idiotic not to think that any product that comes in contact with a carseat, would obviously be tested to make sure that it does not hinder the effectiveness of the carseat. Therefore, when used correctly, this item is perfectly safe for your child.Customer Review: Not Safe for any baby!

Edited to add ~ I came across one of these (they're actually made in my state ~ I put it (Bundle Me Big) in my daughter's Britax seat and I didn't like how it pinched the shoulder harness and pulled them out wider than they should be. So I cut out a section of the back so there's nothing behind her back and we're good to go ~ I'll try posting a foto of what I did)
I'd give this item 0 stars if I could ~ Why??? Because this item like any other puffy item (including thick coats and buntings) behind baby in a car seat would "compress" in a wreck and the harness would then be loose on baby causing possible ejection from the seat/car. Please don't use this ~ car seat covers that just go over the seat are fine.
