Customer Review: Make Your Life Easier - Get a BundleMe!!

I own the Original Bundle me and bought this new Urban bundle me for my cousin's baby. The Original Bundle Me seems to be warmer with the faux sheepskin on the inside instead of the micro-fleece on the inside of the Urban version. The faux sheepskin seems to be cozier for baby, too. When it is super cold outside, you have to add your own blankets inside either bundleme, but having the bundle me definitely helps keep the blankets where you put them.
One aspect of the Urban version that I liked better is that the nylon exterior of the Urban picks up less "debris" than the fleece exterior of the Original. The fleece seems to attract hair, dirt, etc. The nylon Urban is also rain/water resistant. The Original fleece one never seemed to get wet even though it doesn't make the claim that it is water resistant.
Another point to make is that I bought the Bundle Me Lite for the spring and fall months, but didn't really use it all that much. Unless you live in an area where the spring and fall months are cool for an extended period of time, I would just stick with the Original or Urban version. Here I guess the weather goes straight from Summer to Winter!
The whole line of BundleMe products is an AMAZING god-send if you have ever had to put a baby into a coat or snowsuit and then tried to put the car seat straps around them. I can't tell you which one will suit your needs more, just trying to help make your selection process more successful!! Whichever one you choose will definitely make your life SOOO much easier!

Customer Review: Perfect to warm the stroller NOT the Carseat.

First of all, let me say that I LOVE this product. I like to walk and jog a lot and this bag keeps my 6 month old cozy on cold cold 5 or 6 am outings. It fits perfectly in my jogging stroller. My son is large, mainly long and he fits fine. I bought this to warm the stroller and it works great. HOWEVER using this in a carseat is a bad idea. If you want this just for your carseat- get a carseat with a boot instead or resign yourself to taking your baby in and out of their snowsuit or bunting. While this product does not come between the harness and the baby it does go under the baby. In a crash, the padding under your infant would compress, making the straps more loose than is optimal. The American Academy of Pediatrics is with me on this as is my uncle who is a highway patrol man. Last year he saw an infant that had been entirely thrown from the vehicle, out of the seat straps which were too loose once the padding (like this product)under the baby flattened. Now likely there were other risk factors and possibly the crash would have been fatal regardless of the padding under the baby. Still, why take chances? Car seat manufacturers, car seat techs and the leading medical voice for children caution againist the use of these products in a car seat. Taking your kid in and out of his suit in the car IS big hassle but worth it if you don't have a boot or a cover on your carseat that came with your carseat.
Still this a teriffic product to use in your stroller. If you use your stroller everday in cold weather it is a wonderful item to have. Also, a great and uncommon shower idea for the mom to be who will be a high use stroller user!

As my child was due in late February and we live in Germany, which has what I consider (as a child of the Dakotas)a mild climate, I was undecided whether I needed Bundle me or Bundle me lite. I decided to get both and was glad I did as my daughter was born in late January instead in the middle of the one of the coldest spells since we've been here. I was also thrilled to discover that the bundle me and the bundle me lite have compatible zippers, so you can zip the warmer bundle me top on the cooler and less thick bundle me lite bottom, which is how we've been using it. She stays warm and comfy in our cold car and on our daily trips outside to pick up her big brother at school. I haven't had any of the mentioned problems at this point, and would consider it worth it's weight in gold to avoid the jacket/snowsuit battle, esp when they are not supposed to wear those items in the car seat. I can see no safety problem in using it as both items are no thicker than a light jacket that you would have to have on as a minimum on baby in this weather and then you would still have to be taking them baby and putting her back in the car seat every time you wanted to enter and leave the car to put on the necessary warmer clothes. Out of everything I got for my daughter I would have to say this was the best. You don't have to worry about bulky jackets or waking you child up when getting them out of the car. I've had so many comments from strangers wishing that this was available when their kids were little.
For the comment about the fire department not liking this product ... I got the exact opposite response. When I had my car checked by our local fire department they liked the product. They just said I had to make sure the straps weren't twisted. I've never had a problem with that. The opening is so larget that the straps have free movement.
I was also in a pretty bad accident where I was hit from behind. Luckly I had just dropped my daughter off at daycare but I had her infant seat in the car. The paramedics that were with me saw the Bundle Me and said it was the best thing they have seen in a long time. If there is an accident they don't have to worry about bulky jackets or snowsuits either. By just unzipping the Bundle Me they have quick access to the child without having to worry about removing the harness or cutting through a jacket.

I love my bundle me, received it as a shower gift and it is one of my favorites. Never had to wake my baby up putting on or taking off a snowsuit, plus she hates being dressed so it made my life so much easier. Also covers more than a snowsuit, on windy days it kept her face covered from the house to car and vice versa.
It is also very high quality and easy to wash. I read some reviews that said otherwise. I believe they bought the much cheaper copy sold at baby depot that is very low quality and not made by the same company.
As for the unsafe reviews, I find it unfortunate that people write reviews for products they do not have, nor even bothered to read the manufacturers comments on.

If you think about it, installed properly, it is no different than wearing a heavy coat.
