Customer Review: GREAT for 1st time parents!

I laughed at my husband when he purchased this during my pregnancy, but after we brought home a jaundice baby I quickly applauded this purchase.
This is a great product for 1st time parents or for babies that need more structured feedings due to jaundice or other complications.
It's very easy to lose track of time with a crying newborn and when you are sleep-deprived, or when you are sharing responsibilities with another adult who is also sleep-deprived.
We initially used this device to keep us on track with his formula feedings. Then we used it more in the middle of the night as a nice reference to see when the other parent last changed the diaper or fed the baby. Eventually it became a tool to record how long the baby slept. Now that our baby is older, we can use it to time how long it's been since a formula bottle was prepared or for a baby-sitter or grandparent that wants to help out.
Don' let this seemingly unnecessary purchase fool you -- It's worth every penny in those first few weeks!

I had friends recommend this item to me before the baby arrived but didn't heed their advice. After spending many days for the first few weeks very tired trying to remember last feedings and diaper changes I broke down and bought this. I am so glad that I did. It's not so much because I'm going by a strict schedule, because I listen to what he wants and needs, but there are times where it's just helpful to know how long "it's been" since you ..... Changed, ate whatever. I love the right , left side feature. I was having a time trying to keep up with that and used rubber bands for my hair worn around my wrists to remind me. The extra timer is perfect for the mommy brain. It's true, you forget stuff. I'm a doctor for crying out loud, I thought I was smart enough to remember basic things, but, no. I've forgotten about items on the stove thankfully without too much irreparable damage. The extra timer helps me keep track of how long the breast pump pieces have been getting sterilized on the stove. It's nice to have all of these functions in one spot.Customer Review: A Must Have!!!!

I love my itzbeen! I couldn't survive without it. My son is 8 weeks old and I used it even before then w/ my gestational diabetes. (I new when I ate last and when I needed to check my glucose.) It was perfect for the hospital because I had to nurse every 2-3 hours. I set the timer feature on 3 hrs and could get a few zzz's before the next feeding. I didn't have to worry about sleeping through a feeding. (my son slept a lot the first 2 days) The alarm helped me get on a schedule. It was also handy for my mother and mother-in-law to help out in the weeks that followed; we all knew when he was fed last. The night light is great. I am able to nurse at night w/out turning on a lamp and waking my husband up. The only other feature I've used so far is the bonus button. I had mastitis and had to pump a lot. So I knew when I pumped last versus when I breastfed. I'll be using the nap feature soon since he's now awake a lot longer. I would recommend this to anyone. In fact my friend who owns a daycare is getting one for every bed baby! She thought it was awesome!Customer Review: Can they really put out an item with such poor manufacturing???

I figured that I'd give this thing a try even though there seem to be a number of reviews that warn about the poor quality. Of course, I thought "tha'ts not going to happen to me". well, I was wrong x2- seems to be tha magic number here! 1st one I got, I put fresh batteries in and the screen was illegible, then completely faded out. the light never worked, nor did any of the buttons. I was disappointed so I rushed out to the baby mega store to purchase another. I had a devious plan to just put the broken one in the packaging from the superstore and return it to avoid having to ship it back, but much to my dismay, the one I purchased at the baby store fared only slightly better than the 1st! This time the buttons worked and the light worked, but the screen was still illegible- like half of the numbers were invisible. So, all in all, I should have listened to all of those other reviewers who had gone before me. I say skip this piece of junk and avoid the hassle. This company should not be allowed to put out a product with such a high failure rate!Customer Review: Super handy if you use it

This item is fantastic. I got one for myself and my sister for her new baby. I am about to get another one for my friend's baby shower. A unique gift idea for parents-to-be.
Why is this gadget so great? Because it takes the time calculations out of keeping track of your baby's needs. You don't need to add hours up in your head or off a paper. You just easily look to this device to know how long "itzbeen" in hours & minutes since you took care of a specific baby's needs. When you are sleep deprived with a newborn, this gadget really helps keep a simple picture.
The ITZBEEN will tell you how long since your last diaper change and feeding. How long baby has been sleeping. The last icon is a "wild" card. We used it to keep track of my painkillers post C-section.
Only thing I don't care for is the automatic red blinking light if you let baby's diaper time go beyond 3.5 hours, which may happen during the night sleeps.
If you use this gadget as it is made to be used, it will help you out.
