I love this colorful gym mat. The bar does pop out, but it can be easily fixed - the gym has straps built in to hold the bar in place, or you can go "Heavy-duty" and use duct tape or something similar to cement it in place. I'd rather do some of my own fixing and adjusting to this gym, than be paying $80 for a cloth mat my baby spits up on. At this price, it's a great value, and very portable. Plus, it makes for GREAT pictures - Grandma will love a candid of your tiny baby in the big hippo's mouth!Customer Review: Works for us!

My son is almost 4 mos old and has been using this playmat for many weeks. He loves it! It was the first toy he really showed interest in--cooing and smiling at that baby in the mirror! We did just put a little bit of duct tape in the bases for the overhead bar and solved the problem of it popping out. We also move around the toys or hang new ones occasionally. Any of the many little linking baby toys work just fine. Let's face it... playmats are expensive. This one is smaller, portable, entertaining, and half the price of the others. Don't let the other reviews scare you away!Customer Review: Not a great design

We bought this playmat for our daughter and we have the same problems with the bar popping out and hitting our baby. She likes to play on it, but gets so scared everytime she kicks the bar and it pops out. Also, I think the toys are positioned too high. My 4 month old can barely reach them. Also, we have to lay her more towards the bottom for her to really even be able to see the toys. I do love how it zippers closed and is easy to transport. However, overall, I would not recommend this particular mat.Customer Review: Beware of the tube

I thought this was really cute when I received it at my baby shower. However, when I put it together and tried using it the tube kept flying up in the air like the snakes out of the can trick. This toy can only be used with ABSOLUTE supervison. The activity bar continuously pops out. It will catapult many feet from the playmat if kicked just right. It has so far scared my 4 month-old, hit the dog, and knocked over many things. HOWEVER, my 4 month-old loves to bat the toys. I only recommend this item for babies who do not kick much.
