Baby Products Reviews of Inclined to SleepCustomer Review: Better than the rest! Summary: 5 Stars
Most sleep positioners only offer the two side bars to keep the baby in position. This product however, offers an inclined pillow for the baby to lay on. It is also very soft and forms more to their body so they feel like they are being held. The incline helps my 8 week old son because he gets congested frequently and it props him up so he can breathe better. I put a folded blanket under the head of the positioner for a little more of an incline. Also so I don't have to worry about washing it, I tuck a sheet saver over it. As some others have said, the baby does slide down sometimes, but I have noticed if I put the positioner at the top of the bassinet and his head at the top of the pillow he stays in place better. My son sleeps as long as he did when he slept on his stomach so it must be comfortable.
Customer Review: BEWARE! Not very safe and isn't made well. Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this when my daughter was a month old and had terrible reflux. Not only did it not help the reflux, but I don't feel it was safe and it didn't hold up in the washing machine. On several occasions, my daughter ended up sliding down in between the side positioners. She was very small, born just over 5lbs, and did not fit to well in this. Because of her reflux, I needed this to stand up to repeated washings. Even with putting absorbant materieal on top of this to try and protect it, she still spit up right through it. When I washed this item, it ended up being deformed. Save your money and find something else. This product is not grea.t The only reason why I gave it 2 stars is my daughter seemed somewhat comfortable in it, that it until she fell in between the positioners.
Customer Review: Loved this sleep positioner Summary: 5 Stars
My husband & I both loved this sleep positioner! It kept our squirmy boy in place. However, you must fold a thin (we used a flannel blanket like you get from the hospital) blanket and place it at the base to prevent your little one from sliding down. We found that our son slept much better on his side. Initially, we were terrified at the thought of placing him on his side until a friend recommended this product. We swaddled our baby tightly and placed him on his side in this sleep positioner (along with the folded blanket at the base). My husband & I actually got sleep the very first time we tried it! We continued to use the sleep positioner until our son grew out of it. It also washers very well...sides & all! The cover is simple to get back on, just requires a little patience!
Customer Review: LOVE IT !!!! Summary: 4 Stars
I really love this product. It makes my son feel so secure in such a huge crib. The incline helps with his tummy & his snoring, yes snoring, like father like son. I agree that when my son was a few weeks old he did slide down it a bit. But I moved the positioner down to where his feet would touch the end of the crib & adjusted the wedges to a lower position, he could only slide so far. Now that he is heavier (2 months old & 14 lbs.) he doesn't slide down because he flattens it a bit, plus he's a lot longer now. It really should be recommended for older infants. Since he's still so young, it makes using a blanket easier because I wrap it tightly around him & up underneath the positioner so it won't move or come loose. However I DON'T recommend doing that for an infant who is sliding down.
Customer Review: Good Night's Sleep Summary: 4 Stars
This product is helpful for a few reasons, it definitely helps keep my baby from spitting up at night, he seems to have some morning sinus issue and the inclined position is better than his lying flat, and most importantly, when we first brought our son home, we couldn't put him down to sleep unless he was swaddled, this cushion is so cozy, with the side wedges in, he feels like he's still swaddled. He did slide down, but he was on his back and waking up every three hours, so it wasn't an issue, I fixed it by wrapping a receiving blanket around the entire cushion, so now it's warm as well as cozy and he doesn't slide. This doesn't appear to be a suffocation risk because I tucked the blanket under the cushion and his weight keeps it in place. He's seven weeks old now and sleeping well!
