Baby Products Reviews of Inclined to SleepCustomer Review: Great for babies that like to be bundled/swaddled Summary: 5 Stars
When I brought my baby home from the hospital, she did not like sleeping in her crib or her cradle because it was too spacious for her. Like all babies, she was used to her mother's womb, and she did not rest until she was tightly swaddled and in a confined sleeping position. At first we had her sleeping in her car seat because it made her feel safe. One night I woke up to see her head cocked at a very horrible angle and decided it had to stop, so I purchased the Inclined to Sleep. It was perfect! She has slept through the night (from 11:30pm-6:30am) ever since we got it at 2 weeks old. She still uses it at 3 months, and it is comforting to her (and to me) as she is making the transition from our bedroom to her own room. It is also comforting that the material is "breathable" so if she scoots down, she will not suffocate. It has been a wonderful purchase for us and I would definately considerate it a necessity for moms who want sleep of their own.
Customer Review: also good for tandem bottle feeding newborn twins Summary: 4 Stars
I bought two of these in anticipation of the birth of our twin girls. I thought we might use them for sleeping in their shared crib. However, we ended up putting one of the larger crib-width foam wedges in the crib, and are instead using these "Inclined to Sleep" wedges for nighttime bottle feedings. I know there aren't many folks out there who need to feed two newborn babies bottles at the same time, but if you happen to be one of them, I'd highly recommend this product. It keeps the girls in place, with their heads slightly elevated while drinking. I've set them up on a twin matress on the floor of the nursery, and I drape a baby blanket on top of each wedge before putting a baby on it (to catch the inevitable spit up or bottle spills). This system works wonderfully for me, and in fact, I'm thinking about buying another pair for the living room to set up a second "feeding station" there for daytime feedings.
Customer Review: Reflux Twins Sleep Good Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased these beds as soon as they came home from the NICU. They both slept in the same crib so it was great for keeping them separated. They do tend to squirm down the bed due to elevation. My son was diagnosed with severe reflux so I had to elevate the bed a bit more. I used folded blankets on the bottom of the bed. To prevent them from sliding too much the hospital gave me a Bendy Bumper which I put at their feet.
They are 6 months and are still on their inclined to sleep beds since it gives them added support since they sleep on their sides and not their backs.
My only problem with it is that they sometimes they arch their backs or try to turn over and their heads fall of the bed. I wash everything but found that if you place a blanket over the top portion, wrapping it underneath and holding it in place with the velcro sides it is a whole lot easier than washing the bed everyday due to spitups.
Customer Review: Pretty darn good..... Summary: 4 Stars
Our daughter has used this since the day we brought her home from the hospital. It was great because for the first few nights we put her right in the middle of us in our bed (in between our pillows) and it worked perfectly because we knew she couldnt roll over and it also stopped us from possibly rolling over on her. I also like the fact that her head isn't directly on a hard/firm mattress. I think this has helped the fact that she hasn't gotten a "flat head". Another great thing about this item is that it's small and light enough to grab and take with you...for instance when I head downstairs in the morning I grab it and set it up on the couch or in her pack n play or if we're headed out to visit my sister or someone we take it with us and we know that she'll have a safe and comfy place to sleep. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes if she wiggles around a bit she'll start sliding down a little.
Customer Review: Will never go without one... Summary: 5 Stars
My baby is now 3 months old and he has used this sleep positioner every single night. I will never go without using it for my future children. We have never had a problem or worry regarding it. It helps to keep us from worrying about him when he sleeps and it just looks so comfortable for him. Plus, he doesn't "startle" when you lay him down (like you might with a hard flat surface) because it basically just "hugs" around him. We also have not had a problem with him spitting up at all and he hasn't been a very fussy baby, especially when trying to put him to sleep. The cover is washable but I still put a lap pad on the top part where his head lays, just in case he would ever spit up while laying on the positioner - which he has never done. It also works great if you swaddle your baby because they just fit on it so perfectly. This is definitely one of the best things we bought for our son and I highly recommend it! :)
