Customer Review: Causes little dreadlocks(Rats) in Babies hair!
Summary: 3 Stars

I do like this product but I have finally discovered after watching her sleep that when she turns her head side to side on the cover it is what is causing little dreadlocks in her hair, or rats that can not be combed out. I had a friend whose daugter had this same problem and I just talked to her and asked it by chance she had slept on the "inclied to sleep" and sure enough she did. So eventually they had to cut the tangles or rats out of her hair and I will have to do the same thing. Must be the material the cover is made of. The cover is , however, made to be breathable. I have never known a flat cotten sheet doenst do this. I bought this item to help my daughter sleep on her back while in her swaddle me. Initially it was wonderful, she has always slept well, but as she grew and starting moving more she would end with her head in the middle by the wedges and feet crunched up at the end of the bassinet! I have since moved her to the crib and she seems to be doing ok but still willend up down in the middle of the incline. She sleeps swaddled so she doesnt turn herself but as soon as she can this will be gone. I wouldnt use if you dont swaddle your baby. I would be afraid that somehow they would manouver themsleves and turn causing their face to be up against the side wedges. Hope this helps!

Customer Review: Triplet Mom Gives
Summary: 4 Stars

My triplets were born at 33 weeks and from the beginning they did great. Except that the biggest (4 lbs 9 oz) had reflux almost after every feeding. It was so bad that when it happened he would scare himself and would not be able to go back to sleep without being held and rocked.
When you have to feed 3 babies every 3 hours, holding a baby and rocking him back to sleep, cuts down on your sleep.
We bought the Inclined to Sleep. During the first night, after his first two feedings he was reflux free and at his last night time feeding he had a minimal episode, which he quickly returned to sleep afterwards.
We did cover the head area with a cloth to catch any spit up. He did slide down after having an episode of reflux. When babies get reflux it hurts. Babies arch their backs to try to get away from the pain and that is usually when they start to slide down the wedge. I never have any concerns with my baby sliding down and pressing his nose against the side barriers because I am right there to clean him up. .
I would highly recommend this product to parents that have babies with reflux. It may not prevent your baby from having reflux but it does cut down on the episodes and brings comfort to your baby.

Customer Review: Good, but not great...
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this to simulate the way the NICU had my preemie sleeping. They inclined the entire little "container" he was sleeping in and had blanket rolls on each side of him. He's now 6 weeks old and I'm HOPING he's 6 pounds--but the foam in the wedge has already lost it's shape where the baby sleeps. Like he's been sleeping on it for years or he was too big and wore out the foam (which he clearly is not). I also found that he worked his way down and occasionally had his face buried in one side or the other of the side positioners; but I alleviated this by swaddling him (legs only) and having the excess blanket underneath him. This serves 2 purposes because the netting at the head part IS a bit scratchy--so I need the extra blanket to go under his head or he won't sleep.

The flip side is that the baby has always slept in his big, open crib with this and I don't worry about him swallowing his spitup. I also agree with the poster who was more at ease co-sleeping with the baby in this. I felt the same way when I napped with him.

It certainly serves it's purpose; I'm just annoyed that I already need to buy another one in the near future and it's only been in use for a few weeks.

Customer Review: Best 20 bucks you'll ever spend.
Summary: 4 Stars

Our newborn doesn't have any tummy or reflux problems, but we bought this anyway. He would fall asleep as we were burping him and once we put him in his crib he would wake right up and refuse to go back to sleep unless we picked him up again, and rocked him. Then again, he would wake right back up. By the time he was so exhausted that he just crashed...it was 3 hours later and time to eat again thus starting the cycle all over. It also seemed to us that the coldness of the sheets against his face were bothering him. When I came accross this positioner I decided to go out the next day and give it a shot. Problem solved!!! The wedge pillow doesn't get cold, and the two side positioners make him think we are still holding him. The incline of the wedge also duplicates the way he is positioned while sleeping in his swing...which he loves. We noticed a difference in his fussiness at bedtime the very first night we used it. I am soooooo glad we have this product. The only thing I would change is to make the incline higher. I rolled up a blanket and stuck it under to increase the incline myself, though, and that works just fine.

Customer Review: Didn't find helpful
Summary: 2 Stars

While the product did what it was supposed to do and kept her sleeping in one position, I did not like this product and wouldn't recommend. I have a very fussy baby and had to eventually resort to swaddling her to get her to sleep. When I was using this the incline it actually made her slide down from her kicking and crying when she would wake up during the night. It scared me to death cause one night I put her to sleep in it and she was fine, then about 6 hours later I woke to hearing her crying on her monitor. When I went into her room to go get her to feed her, she was about a foot under the blankets cause while she was crying and kicking around, she scooted her body down it and under her quilt. She was fine but all I could think was about how she could have ended up suffocating under the blanket since she was swaddled and didn't have her arms to push the blanket off her face. I haven't used it since. Now I just swaddle her and tuck her in and I haven't had the problem of her scooting under the blanket or even moving down the bed slightly since. If you have a mover and a shaker like I do, I DO NOT recommend this item.
