Customer Review: humongous difference in diapering!
Summary: 5 Stars

I did not use these with my daughter when she was in cloth diapers. Since we didn't have to spend any money on buying cloth diapers for my son, I thought I'd spend a little bit of money on these. It has made it a completely different ball game. Gone are the days of gagging as I rinsed out a particularly bad diaper in the toilet. And, it's true, you can wash this. I think they can go through the washer 3-4 times before they start falling apart. A pack of 100 lasts us at least 3 months and our son has about 1 poopy diaper/day. We have not noticed it irritating his skin at all, but he's not particularly sensitive either.

**update**
Now my son is almost two & we have had to stop using the liner. I think that the increase of movement (he runs like a tornado now) changes the way the liners lie against him & they are irritating him horribly now. So, it's back to hand-plopping. But, since he's older, it's mostly a matter of tipping out the diaper. There are days, though, where he's eaten one too many raisins & we realize it was so much easier to just have that liner in there. But, it's just chaffing him too much now. He runs faster than most children six months older than him, so he is abnormally fast & active.

Customer Review: You need these if you are going to use cloth diapers!

I have just converted to Bum Genius all-in-one diapers and I LOVE them. I have the toilet attachment so that I can spray away any poop that does not shake off. However, I found that this was somewhat time-consuming, and it left my toilet area somewhat wet, so I looked into diaper liners. I chose Imse Vimse because many people said they threw the unsoiled, wet liners in the wash with their diaper laundry, and this sounded like something I could buy into, although a little unbelievable. However, it is true. You can use them again and again until they get pooped on. They are so nice because they don't fall apart when you are trying to remove them from the diaper. I also got the large size to ensure that they covered the entire diaper, and they are definitely large enough to cover all you want to cover. Now cloth diapering is MESS FREE and I am free of a stinky diaper pail! The cloth diapers are far more absorbent than disposables for my little boy, and for those who like to keep their baby very dry and so change diapers often, they are so much more economical. Now they are mess-free and just as fast as disposables since I have these diaper liners. YOU NEED THEM!!!

Customer Review: Wish I'd found them sooner!
Summary: 4 Stars

We spent 12 months doing cloth diapers without a liner. How I wish I'd found these sooner! But I'm posting a review for those buyers who are comparing brands of diaper liners. We tried Imse Vimse first, then Kushies at the suggestion of a friend. Imse Vimse wins! But I'll tell you why:

1. Imse Vimse liners seem too big and Kushies seem to fit nicely in the diaper, but when little one walks and crawls around, the liner bunches up. The Imse Vimse liner still covers the width of the diaper even with a little bunching so that you don't end up busting out the dipaer liner.

2. You really can re-use the Imse Vimse liners. Usually. The Kushies shrink and it's impossible. Throw the IV's in the wash with the dirty diapers, pull them out before they hit the dryer (if you remember, if not, it works too), and they'll be dry by the time your diapers are done.

3. Kushies are thicker. Which is nice in theory, but I worry about flushing them. The IVs are thinner but the idea of them in my septic system doesn't freak me out quite as much.

That's my review. Hope it's helpful!

Customer Review: You really can wash and reuse these!

If you use cloth diapers and are sick and tired of having to remove the poo before washing, these will be your best line of defense. I use flat diapers and fold the liner around the entire diaper to ensure that I won't get poo on the diaper at all. Because the flat diaper gets bunched, the liner will too, so I have to wash my cover sometimes, but before I was washing EVERYTHING, so I'm still ahead. These are basically like dryer sheets in feel and can be washed. If I have a pee-only diaper, I wash the liner with the load of diapers and hang dry. They are so thin that they dry in minutes. This way, the pack of 100 liners gets you a ton of uses. Because they wash so well, they aren't good for septic tanks and I have noticed that while we are on a sewer line, they don't flush super easily. Overall, though, and especially if you are cloth diapering on the go, these are great time savers and help you put the poo in the toilet where it belongs.

Customer Review: Cloth diapering without the yuck
Summary: 5 Stars

These make it so much easier! Messy diapers are faster to clean up and I think they help prevent staining on my precious diapers. After 6 months on the same pack of the small size, I was about to run out, so I tried the larger ones- I just make sure all is tucked in and think bigger can be better(but I guess the baby has grown too.) Several people have noted that they can be washed. I actually pre-wash mine because to me, they were slightly rough. That solved the problem. Then I stuff them in an empty tissue box so they're always at hand- put in neatly and they pop up just like tissues. I have been flushing them occasionally even with a septic system and so far no problems but may live to regret that. I just never thought it could be so easy and that my house would actually smell better using cloth diapers than with the disposables. Love them! Definitely worth a try before you give up on cloth.
