Baby Products Reviews of Imse Vimse Flushable Liner (2PK) 200 pieces/2 rolls (Baby)Customer Review: They work, but there are better out there Summary: 3 Stars
These were the first liners that I used, but they won't be my last! I really love the liner concept and probably wouldn't have switched to cloth diapers without them, but these liners aren't as smartly designed as CuteyBaby's.
Pros: No septic problems with flushing them, they hold together in the wash if you wanted to reuse
Cons: They are too wide for my Fuzzibunz and so we have to fold them to make them fit. Also, they are pretty rough material. I feel a little sad covering up such soft diapers with them!
What I'm switching to when I run out: Cutey baby's Biodegradable Liners[[ASIN:B0036QV93C CuteyBaby Biodegradable Diaper Liners - 6 PACK], they are incredibly soft and a perfect fit!
Customer Review: Easy Poop! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these to use on my 2yr old. I never bought them before as I felt it sort of detracted from the cost-effectiveness of cloth diapers. However he now only uses diapers for naptime & bedtime so I felt the extra cost was worth a few minutes of my time (I now have a 5month old as well in cloth so the time is worth more). It was completely worth it & I'm officially spoiled! No more dunking & scrubbing 2-yr old poop! They have had no negative impact on my septic system.
Also thought i should note, as others have, that if the child has not messed on the liner I wash them with my diapers & they usually stand up to 2 washes before falling apart. Great value.
Customer Review: The best out of 3! Summary: 5 Stars
I've tried 3 brands of liners (Imse Vimse, Biosoft, and Kushies) and these are the BEST!
Using the baby size (about 10" long) they cover more than enough for my 14 month old, and any overhang I just fold/stuff in. Though they are not the softest, they do the job and wash well when mixed in with dirty diapers. We wash any that are just wet (and obviously toss the poopy ones), and they soften to the texture of a dryer sheet. They don't get snagged in any velcro or caught in our lint compartment of the drier (unlike the Kushies).
Super easy to use, and Dad friendly. I'll be sticking with these for the remainder of our diaper years.
Customer Review: Be careful about flushing!! Summary: 3 Stars
I have been pleased with the performance of this product overall. I do agree that they are too big for the diaper but I also cut them in half and double my amount, making a perfect fit.
HOWEVER, I would be very careful about flushing these. I just spent $225 for a plumber to come and snake out our main drain. Guess what he found? A big wad of diaper liners (and I've only been using them for two weeks and flushing only the soiled #2 ones). From now on they will be bagged and go in the trash. he said they probably would not create an issue if the drain was brand new PVC, but the old style drains cannot tolerate such products. Buyer beware!!!
Customer Review: The best liners! Summary: 5 Stars
I did a lot of research before trying these liners the first time. I find them to be invaluable, as other have said, after baby begins solids.
What sold me on these liners over others is that when there is no solid waste in the baby's diaper, you can add these to your diaper wash and reuse them at least once, though I get at least two washes from each pee-only diaper change.
These are also really large, in spite of being the baby size and not the toddler size. I know that some people have recommended cutting each liner in half to get even more out of each roll, but I don't have that kind of patience. :)
