Baby Products Reviews of Imse Vimse Flushable Liner (2PK) 200 pieces/2 rolls (Baby)

Customer Review: Great idea, but didn't work for us
Summary: 2 Stars

Our son has special needs and will need to be in diapers longer, so we went ahead and invested in some good cloth diapers. He only voids once a day but it is very messy. We thought these liners would help keep the diaper somewhat cleaner and easier to rinse, but the liner just created a shoot for the poop to come out of the leg holes! Yuck!

Since we know when he is going to do it, (he takes medicine for it and we have it timed out) we either put a paper (decomposable) diaper on him and toss it, or watch him closely so that we catch it right after it happens so there is less mess.

I would only recommend this product for kids who have very solid stool. Our child's is very loose and the product does not work for him. I will say that we washed some of them with the diapers and it seems to more absorbent and less stiff after its washed.

Customer Review: Sufficent but there are softer, nicer inserts out there
Summary: 2 Stars

I have used any number of diaper inserts in my life (I use mostly Bum Genius and Fuzzin Bunz diapers). I use them not only to collect the poo, but also so that I can use serious diaper creams like Desitin on my daughter's diaper-rash-prone bumbum. I bought these instead of my regular brand because they were (slightly) cheaper. What a disappointment! Yes, they will probably be just as effective at keeping poo and medicine off of the diapers, but they are so rough and rigid that I truly worried that putting them against my daughter's skin might rub her diaper-rash raw again. Yuck! I tried them a couple of times, and she actually didn't seem to mind (I will admit), but I just didn't feel good about using them. There are much softer, nicer brands out there for nearly the same price. Don't settle for these.

Customer Review: Work really well with our gDiapers!
Summary: 5 Stars

We chose the Imse Vimse liners because the price is great, and we saw the large number of reviewers that are able to reuse them. We use gDiapers with cloth inserts, and these have worked really well. Since the gDiaper liner can be rinsed when only urinated on, I just drop the cloth insert into the diaper pail, and then rinse the waterproof liner with the Imse Vimse liner and lay them both out to dry. By doing this, I have used each liner up to three or four times! The few times that I've dropped the liner into the wash, it hasn't worked out well, but we have a very low-tech, basic model machine, and perhaps a nicer version would make a difference? I do wish that they were just a bit more square for a better fit, but it's not a big deal, and I'm sure we'll buy them again.

Customer Review: Economical & Washable
Summary: 5 Stars

We have used these liners since "moving" to cloth diapers 3 babies ago. For newborns we do cut them in half but for older babies we just fold them around the cloth diaper so that they stay in place. The best thing about these liners is that they are washable & reusable which helps on the budget. Of course we flush the soiled ones down the toilet with the contents but wash the wet ones over & over again. I recently purchased another brand in error & was astonished to find them disintegrated when I pulled them out of the laundry machine. Yes admittedly they were softer but we all know that babies do not mess every diaper so in my opinion this is a waste. Will not make that mistake again. Thanks Imse Vimse for making such a great product. You have my loyal support.

Customer Review: Great liners..make cloth diapering much easier
Summary: 5 Stars

We started using these when our little one starts solid food. We have tried multiple brands and this one is by far the most durable. While it might not be as soft as the other brands, it is wider and holds up better. Some of the really soft ones tend to crumble up inside the diaper, which makes catching solid waste almost impossible. These liners are wide enough yet soft to the touch for a baby's bum.

Similar to other reviewers, we re-uses the liners if it was just a pee change. These washes very well in the washing machine. We can usually get 3 uses out of each sheet.

These liners make cloth diapering much easier.....every now and then we'll have to spray clean the diapers but these liners catch 90% of the solid waste.
