Baby Products Reviews of Hippo Hookon High Chair - NatureCustomer Review: Wonderful chair Summary: 5 Stars
This is a wonderful chair. We love it and our son does as well. He enjoys sitting at the table with us and we're able to eat our meals together - which is important. He visibly LOVES sitting with us to eat. He will sit for quite awhile and is not impatient with eating, which is enjoyable for all! We don't own a high chair and at this point don't expect to. I don't think that he would like being away from the table. Haven't tried it outside the home, but expect that it will be great! I think this is a MUST-HAVE! You can wash this chair in the washing machine and then stick in the dryer and it looks brand new.
Customer Review: Perfect for smaller kitchens and those with islands Summary: 4 Stars
This is an ideal space-saving solution for small kitchens. We bought this for our 7-month old and he loves being in the center of the action. Our only complaint is that the extension arms aren't adjustable -- so our island countertop ledge isn't super deep and therefore there is a few inch gap between the countertop edge and where the chair/seat starts. I got around this by buying the Kiddopotamus rubber place mat with catcher lip that hangs down and catches most of what he drops. Other than that, it's really easy to clean, seems comfortable and is really easy to install, take along to family's houses, etc.
Customer Review: Nice chair, ONLY.... Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this 2 days before we flew to Hawaii last holiday. It is a nice chair to have when you're on the go and don't want to worry whether the reataurant will have a hiigh chair or not. It was a great buy, my son sat on it very comfy and less fussy than on high chair. The design is a really nice too. The reason I give this 4 stars is its' weight and when you put it on together - took a while. I found Inglesina (on sale, much lesser than this) works much better. It's much lighter and it snaps like nothing. But, if you don't care with the drawbacks I mentioned, go for this.
Customer Review: everyone should own one Summary: 5 Stars
my husband and i bought this when our daughter was six months old and absolutely fell in love with it. we used it every time we went somewhere and it fit most tables. storage was minimal and set was easy. i only wish we got more use out of it. i found out i was pregnant again a month later and got really sick, so did not go out as much. we have never used for our son because it was too difficult for a while to go out to dinner with both of them and now he is too big. its a shame because it came in handy when we used it. anyone with a small child should have one.
Customer Review: Great first chair for my baby Summary: 4 Stars
Catherine lived it the moment we put her in it at 6 months old. She can join us for meals right at the table. It was a great way to introduce her to meal time at a very young age. It is turdy and easy to use. She's 10 months old and we still have it at the table. But since she's able to move around much more, we've graduated her to a highchair to contrain her from reaching for other things. CAREFUL - is your child is jumpy and active like mine, you may want to consider a high chair because Catherine reached for everything and shook the table alot.
