It was pretty easy to put together though the directions were incomplete. The picture helped. My husband and I put it together and that worked well. It's decent quality for the price paid (i.e., not solid but reasonably stable unless your kids are monkeys), especially for a 5 year old Hello Kitty fan. Now our 2 year old wants one. We wish the tie-backs were adjustable or set lower as in other models of the canopy. The ties don't work with our daughter's bed at the fixed height on this model.
