My newborn had reflux and difficulty taking a paci. When she was about 4 weeks old she was able to take a pacifier successfully and GumDrop was the brand she took to. I like that it doesn't come up to her nose like other paci's (Soothie's) with the same nipple shape do. We use paci's short term so the fact that this isn't an orthodontic pacifier isn't concerning to me. However, it should be something to consider when making this purchase, especially if your babies tend to hold on to paci's longer than 6 months. Overall I'm pleased with the product.
