We have an old house where the temp fluctuates all the time - turning the heat up or down one degree can make a huge difference specifically in the baby's room. Bought this because I thought it would be easy to see since I have contacts during the day and am semi blind at night. Works GREAT - I can see the numbers from the hallway as I crack the door to his room, and also the fact that the colors change according to the recommended temp is fantastic. Well worth the price. Not to mention that it looks cool in his room....
Also, very easy to use - just plug in!

this is a total waste of money ... someone gave us one as a gift and as other reviews have stated above -- ours is orange and 77 degrees ALL the time.
there is no way to "reset" this from what i can tell and there is zero information online.
i'd steer clear of this product and just get a wall thermometer and a night light separately.
it's a good idea -- which is why it's hard to believe something so simple doesn't even work properly.
oh well. that's why a product review is worth reading.

I've realized, after receiving this product and trying it out in our living room for a few weeks, it's hotter in my home than I thought. This is really going to help my sleeping infant, due in November, to sleep better since I will know exactly how warm/cold her room is and can adjust accordingly. I don't know how mom's accurately tell the temperature in their children's rooms without this amazing product. And the "night light" feature is a warm, soft glow that adds just enough light but not so much it keeps baby awake. Great product!!!Customer Review: Good Idea, Poorly Executed

First off, you don't really need a thermometer for a baby's room. If you're cold, it's too cold. If you're warm, it's too warm.
Anyhow, I bought this because I thought it would be a neat toy. Despite the temperature readings being obviously wrong, for about 2 days, it was! Then it flashed yellow and all the display units were flashing. Returned it, got another one, and it was a neat toy, with accurate temperature readings... for about 2 days! Then it turned a soft purple with no temperature display.

I was a little hesitant to buy this because of the reviews about it not working accurately, but decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did because now I am in love with the Grobag Egg! It definately works great and always gives an accurate temperature. I don't necessarily agree with their recommendations on what the range of safe temperatures are supposed to be, they seem too cold, but without having a central a/c unit, it's nice to know how hot or cold the room is.
