Baby Products Reviews of Graco TotBloc Pack 'N Play with Carry Bag, Bugs Quilt

Customer Review: A Must Have
Summary: 4 Stars

I read the reviews of other parents and I decided to buy one for the grandparents house. My baby loves to play in it and climb the sides. I feel it is safer than a crib because there are no hard bars like a crib. I love the large square shape and the toys attached on the sides. The only thing I wish the pad was a little more thicker when his little bottom drops down from standing. Still, I liked it so much I had to buy another one for my house. My baby even takes a nap in it and I don't have to worry about him waking up and crawling away. I previously had the PeaPod tent at the grandparents house but I felt that this item was more secure and safer. Also, it is easy to take apart and put together...if you do it right. Read the instructions. The first time we didn't and it was hard to put up but when you know how to do it correctly, it is so very easy.

Customer Review: Wonderful .. one of my best buys
Summary: 5 Stars

I was able to pull this out of the box and put it together and less than a minute. It is very colorful and the toys are very cute. I have a 3 month old that is a little to small to play with them, but she like to lay in there and look around at the toys and the colors. The bottom pad is cushioned but not very much. I think it is soft enough for naps and play time though. My 8 month old played in there last night and scooted his bottom around in there and played with the toys for about an hour. This is a larger playpen that would be hard to move from room to room. IT is 3 feet by 3 feet w/ no wheels on the bottom. I have it set up in the corner of the living room where I will keep it. There is noting about this that I do not like. My only change would be to have a cover that was washable for the bottom, but luckily I do not have a baby that spits up.

Customer Review: Happily bigger than a play yard
Summary: 5 Stars

When my daughter started rolling, it was time for a little containment -- but Grandma bemoaned the fact that none of the standard play yards had as much space as the playpens of my childhood. (You remember, the massive wooden ones Moms would schlep from house to beach to park?) So looking for roomy containment plus the convenience of a portable play yard, there was only one viable candidate: the Graco PackNPlay Bugs. There's room enough for my 7-month-old and a hundred toys, it folds easily into its shoulder bag, cleans up in a snap and the price is great. Best of all, and unlike most play yards, it's FUN; my girl could spend an hour just batting at the colorful bugs on the walls (all make sounds) and floor or giggling at herself in the built-in mirror. And as a play space, it's a happy medium between a tiny play yard and a huge Superyard.

Customer Review: Large play pen....36" x 36"
Summary: 4 Stars

I was looking for a good size playpen for home(not travel). This was the only one I could find. I assume most don't use playpens anymore, but I use it for safety.

Positive:
Love the size and I use it for two grandchildren at one time. The primary colors are great with the Bug rattle, crinkle flower etc. on each side of the pen, attached to the mesh. Has good room to move around in. Much better than the travel pack'n play sizes especially when you want to use it at home.

Negative:
Hard to move from room to room.....when you pull it up to move or close it, the pen is loose and opens all the time.....old playpens used to just fold close and you could move them easily and you just opened it up and pressed to locked. This one is harder to lock and harder to move around, especially for one person.

Customer Review: Great Playpen but...
Summary: 4 Stars

We bought this when my son was only a few months old. He's now 11 months and we get a fair amount of use out of it as a playpen. It's a roomy place to put your child when you need to keep them "contained." He's loves to cruise around in it and smack the built-in rattle bug. It's not great for sleeping, though. Because of all the fun little critters on the four sides, it can be a bit noisy. It folds up fast and set-up is a breeze, so I give it 4 stars for that. It is a little on the heavy side at around 30 lbs., and not the ideal portable crib. With all the stuff parents already have to lug around for their babies, I think that one of the smaller pack n plays would be better, which is why we are getting one of those, too. This one is fabulous as a fixed playpen or for trips in the car. If you're flying, buy something smaller.
