I bought this after reading the overwhelmingly positive review on this product...
My daughter was about 7-month old when it arrived and she appeared to like it the first time we put her in it. She spent about 2 minutes in it and then wanted out.
after that we tried a few times but each time she wouldn't spend more than 1 minute in it. If we kept entertaining her from outside the playyard (like play peekaboo), maybe she would be willing to stay as long as 3 minutes in it.
now she's 18 month old, she only spent a total of about 20 minutes in it (after about 10 tries). we gave it away as a gift to a friend.
i gave it 2-star because I do feel that it's a well-made product. just be aware not all kids like this. :) it seems most do though based on the review here... not sure why my daughter doesn't (as she likes most of the toys that received good review here)

My 6 month old daughter loves this! I bought it when she was 4 months old because she was already too long to move around in a "playard." This product offers so much more room, and is a lot of fun since it has toys built into the sides. The expression on m daughter's face when I first put her in was priceless; she was just amazed!
Before my daughter started to crawl, she would just kick the sides and laugh as the bugs made noises. Now, she sits up and plays with them. She has room to roll, crawl and sit. The standard playard was just too small and boring. This was a lifesaver! I can step out of the room and know my dog can't get to her. (He isn't mean, but he likes to lick her.)
Another plus is that it is just as portable as a playard. I have been recommending this to everyone I know who is pregnant or has a little one.
You will NOT be disappointed! :-)

I recently bought this item for my nearly 3 month old little boy. I wanted him to have somewhere safe to be able to start playing and be able to stretch out without having to sit in his swing or car seat most of the day and without the dogs licking him all the time!
This is, in my opinion, better than the usual play pens with changing tables etc, as it is far bigger and has toys embedded in the sides. It is also very easy to put together and to dismantle.
My only reservation is that the base could be a little better. It seems to me to slope into the middle a little bit which makes 'tummy time' a little difficult. Also I think that it could be improved on if one of the sides came down but all in all I am please with it and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a play pen that is just that and something with more room than the others that are on the market.

I was shocked to find I couldn't find a play pen in the stores. The "play yards" in the stores are simply porta cribs- too small for play and only suitable for sleeping.
An infant needs a safe place to play while mother cooks or tends to other duties. I was surprised about a young couple I know who had two infants about a year apart. The mother spent the whole day on the floor with the two children and could not do any household chores. Now I know why. There was no play pen available. I puchased the Graco Pack n Play to keep at my house for when my grandson visits. It allows him safe space to play and is colorful and stimulating. When his parents saw it they decided that they would get one for use at their home. A play pen is a neccessity.
I don't see how parents can care for a baby without one. It folds into a small size and is easy to store and transport.

I purchased the Tot Block Pack 'n Play when my first child in 2002 was a few months old and am now using it with my second child. I absolutely love the size and convenience of this pack 'n play. We've taken it with us on vacation several times and it was the perfect place for our children to sleep. It's larger than your ordinary pack 'n play which, in my opinion, makes this so much better! The bright colorful colors attract the children's attention and the rattles and mirror on the side help entertain the children when you need to take that much needed bathroom break! :) My children never really liked to sit anywhere too long, but when I need a safe place to put the younger one in while I make meals, do laundry, etc...she happily sits in this long enough to get things done. All in all, a great purchase, very durable (looks like when I first bought it) and well worth it.
