Baby Products Reviews of Graco TotBloc Pack 'N Play with Carry Bag, Bugs Quilt

Customer Review: Really great sleep/play yard but could have used washable floor cover or sheets
Summary: 4 Stars

We've had Pack'n Plays before with my older son and they were great for sleeping. But they really aren't big enough to play in--at least *I* felt like it was confining and thought my son would too. Now that I have another baby, I needed a safe place where he could play away from my older son's legos and little bits. This playard is big, colorful, folds up just as easily and compactly as the original Pack'n Play. Really like it.
The only negative: there is no removable cover for the bottom. It's spot clean only. I do NOT know how they decided THAT was a good idea. I called Graco and asked if they at least make sheets that I could put over the bottom and they said no, but that they'd just had a staff meeting about it b/c so many parents were calling to ask. Well, DUH! Of COURSE it needs a washable/removable surface on the bottom. Do they think our babies don't spit up/pee/poo/drool/whatever?? Really dumb.
Anyway, for those who are interested: I found a website where they will custom make sheets out of jersey (tshirt material) in almost any color and you just specify the size (38"x38"x2"). [...] They're not cheap ($25-30) but they last and, imo, they're worth it.
Anyway, we like it.

Customer Review: Baby's Best Playard!
Summary: 5 Stars

I recently bought this for my 8 month old daughter after researching a lot of playpens online and talking to several of my mommy friends. This exceeded my expectations for a travel crib.

This is the perfect balance between being spacious enough for an active tot without taking up your entire living room. I like that it is self contained (i.e. has a base that sits above the floor) and that it has some built-in toys. It also is very easy to fold and unfold. We bought a Graco Travel Lite portacrib for my daughter when she was three months old for traveling with and while it was great when we could use it as a bassinet, as soon as we put her down in the crib section she HATED it (tough "mattress", very small - but exceptionally light <20 lbs).

We usually stay somewhere that has a crib, but if we took a car trip I would definitely bring this with both for sleeping and playing.

I agree with the other reviewers that I wish this came with a sheet (or that Graco even made a sheet for this). That being said, it only took me about 10 minutes to make a fitted sheet for this on my sewing machine (it looks something like a large European pillow case).

Customer Review: Great Travel Bed for Twins
Summary: 4 Stars

We recently bought this to replace a regular sized Pack n Play
that had seen better days. We've used it for our twins on one weekend away. Our twins are good-sized 14 month olds. They had more than enough room to be comfortable sleeping in this together. Although this seemed comfy enough for our boys to sleep in, I was a little disappointed that it does not come with a sheet for the padded floor.

We had hoped we would be able to use this at home for a safe place for the babies to play once in a while. Unfortunately, within seconds of being in it for the first time, our babies climbed up and out of this. I wish the sides of these kinds of things would be higher so that we had someplace to leave the babies for a minute and know they are safe. The bright colors and fun decorations of this are very appealing to our guys. It's great until they decide to climb out.

This unit is very, very easy to set up and take down. Even easier than our old, smaller one.

Overall, although I hated to spend the big bucks on this thing, it seems like we will get our money's worth out of it when we go out of town. Too bad they don't make a big mesh zippered lid for these to keep babies in.

Customer Review: A Welcome Relief From the Rectangle!
Summary: 4 Stars

I agree with the other reviewers who give kudos to this playard for it's square shape. It's amazing what that extra few inches can do.

We were lucky enough to be given this playard by a co-worker to leave at my parents' house for naps for our kids. I honestly had no idea what to expect, but when we opened it up, I was thrilled.

My two-year-old wanted in right away and went to work playing with all the movable parts. She didn't want to get out of it! Unfortunately she can now get out of it (at 28 months), so although it's still plenty big for her to nap in, we have to make sure she stays in it.

It works great for our 7 month old and I see it being great for him for another year to year and a half.

I have to admit that I haven't had much need to take it down and put it back up since it stays up at my parents' house, but from what I've heard from my mom, it's not hard to do either.

The only drawback for me is the garish mix of primary colors. I honestly thought this was a hand-me-down from the 80s/90s when I saw it first. I would love to see it update it with some more modern colors, but that's just me.

Customer Review: By far... BEST ON THE MARKET
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a mom of three kids and this is by far the best Pack-n-Play on the market. When #3 came along we needed to purchase a new Pack-n-Play. The Graco Pack N Play with bug toys is absolutely the best we've ever owned. The bright colors and cute toys make it a fun environment for our 8 month old. She has loved the bright play mat since about 6 months, but now that she is sitting up she enjoys looking in the mirror and pulling on the rattle butterfly wings. She actually gets excited about playing in her Pack N Play... and mom can get dinner cooked without interruption!

And, best of all, it is so much bigger than the other Pack N Plays. There is plenty of room for her to play without rolling over the top of her toys. The set up and take down is super easy... all four sides break-down very easily and it folds nicely without any hassle. I am also a fan of the much thicker play mat that fits into the floor of the Pack N Play. I never worried about her hurting herself if she plopped over when first learning to sit up.

Overall, I can't say enough WONDERFUL things about this product! I'd put it on the new parent's "must have" list for sure.
