Customer Review: Worked great for us & very pretty design
Summary: 4 Stars

We ordered this from another site 2.5 years ago for our daughter & were quite pleased with it. We had no problems with its condition as another reviewer did, so hopefully it's an isolated incident. The pattern is what convinced us because we didn't want all pink nor did we want a fabric that shows dirt easily. We also wanted the darker plastic to avoid showing wear and scuffs. The navy plastic hides those well & most of infant seats with the navy plastic parts are more masculine patterns. This is a nice combination of what we wanted.

We trust Graco infant seats for safety & durability and this was no exception. We are a busy family of (almost 6) always on the go & we came back to this seat for our next baby (obviously a girl). Wish we would have kept the previous one instead of giving it away, but we didn't know we'd have another one :)

I was pleased to see it on Amazon at a much lower price than we paid for it. (Love Amazon Prime - free shipping) Only gave it 4 stars because I would have liked a Z-shaped handle instead of the plain curved handle for ergonomics. This is just a matter of preference because my husband actually prefers this shape handle. Other than that, no complaints at all. I look forward to using it again...

Customer Review: Great price for a graco car seat!
Summary: 4 Stars

Not only is this car seat very cute (which I fell in love with from the very first time I saw it), it's a great price for a Graco Car seat.

We've only used it for a short time, about three weeks, but it's perfect for our little one. The only gripe I have with it, is sometimes our little one's head gets turned side ways (the pillow doesn't seem to help all the time) and just seems a little scary for me. I wish there was more head support for a newborn, but we had to buy that separately. Overall, a very cute and inexpensive car seat!

UPDATE: This item was recalled for the actual cover that cushions the car seat...when we got the recall notice from amazon we registered the item and graco sent us items to choose to match the car seat. I was upset because they didn't even let us choose one that is like the one here, they were all boyish and didn't even match the canopy that is on top. The only reason it was recalled is because people were saying that when they washed the car seat cover, the backing was starting to wear...it's because the heat in the dryer is too strong and wearing off the back of it, but we have never washed it and I will just hang it dry instead of drying it.

Customer Review: It's OK
Summary: 4 Stars

I just bought this for my first baby so I don't have much to compare it to. Both of our vehicles have the latch system (04 Mitsubishi Outlander and 04 Honda Accord) and it was pretty easy to install, didn't take my husband more than 10 or so minutes to figure it out. We have the bases in both cars in the middle back seat. On the Honda there is a bump in the middle and I think because of that the base actually does move side to side when turning. It seems very stable and safe in the Outlander though. It is, however very difficult to carry. It is heavy and plain awkward shaped. Also, my son is 4 months, 28 " and I'm already going to have to buy a convertible since this seat is only up to 29" (although he's above 100th percentile in height so this problem wouldn't affect everyone). Probably also because of his height , his head would slouch over due to the angle of the seat when he fell asleep (of course you don't know what size baby you'll have until he's born!) but I wouldn't recommend it for longer or heavier babies for that reason. I also have the stroller that goes with it and that is very easy and convenient to use.

Customer Review: This seat has been fantastic!!
Summary: 5 Stars

My wife and I just had our first baby two months ago, and this was the best purchase we could have made. We have a 2004 Toyota Corolla, which has an annoying hump in the middle of the back seat (Which is where it's recommended to put the child seat), but this seat was so easy to install behind the driver's seat. It's easier than many to install because you can take the seat off of the base.

The seat as a carrier has been great. It is a bit heavy, so long walks with only the carrier aren't practical, but the carrier fits perfectly on the child seat of grocery carts and in our Graco stroller, so we can be very mobile with our daughter without having to move her in and out of the seat.

She seems to find the seat comfortable, too. Car rides have been a great way of getting her to sleep on those horribly fussy nights, and we don't worry about the safety of the seat (The fire department personnel who helped show us the proper way of installing it said that this seat is one of the best out there). We are so happy with this seat and would recommend it to anyone who is getting ready to start a family.

Customer Review: Good, but could use improvements.

It's a great seat, rated the best by most reviews, and is really the best way to go in combination with a stroller frame like the Graco Snugrider, since the combination will be lighter then standard full size strollers + infant seat..

However, as previously mentioned, I have to agree with the head rest being a safety hazard from the fact it has the padding fabric the baby can easily grab and handful and stick in their mouth..the headrest is pretty flimsy and too big for infants (offers no real support) so best to simply replace it with one of the way better headrests that are available on the market (and don't cause a major chocking hazard such as this one...

Also, if I were to do it again, I would choose the Graco SafeSeat Step1 because it can still go on a stroller frame like the SnugRider, but it can handle your baby for a lot longer (i.e. 30 pounds and 32 inches instead of 22 pounds and 29 inches for the Snugride).
